Re: Status Update - 8th of May 2019
the steam charts, forum traffic and player base seemed to have shown it had been happily chugging along as it always had until last may. Communication died off around that time and looking at the release history content and bug fixes slowed then just fell of a cliff and naturally the number of folk playing followed. it was killed off. This whole "were wanting to extend the life of classic" imo is bull. the game went down the pan because last may Nordic bought avalanche and decided having 2 hunting titles was unnecessary. So i have no faith in nordic or clames that classic is having another lease of live by being free, im with the others that believe this move is nothing more than an ass covering manoeuvre for when they can bin it.

I have 3 complete decoys and they spot me on a Double TS, with ghillie suit and paint mask, the moment they start to raise the head I was doom, never approach more than 40mts, that was my golden spot ( the one Flanker show us on his post some 2 years ago), also I try one 600mts south, same result.HooCairs wrote:Just trying this now. I don't notice. Turkeys come to my tower and even me dancing inside doesn't bother them. Put up some decoys and they will be distracted.mapache01 wrote:Any one notice tha Turkeys now have X-RAY VISION??! They are super skittish and spot you at 60mts! and flee

I use scent eliminator even when I'm hunting turkeys. If I'm hunting them from a treestand I don't have any problems getting the birds to come in and hang around UNLESS my scent eliminator has worn off and I didn't realize it. Don't forget that they will also become skittish/nervous if there are any coyotes or bobcats moving around in the area.mapache01 wrote:I have 3 complete decoys and they spot me on a Double TS, with ghillie suit and paint mask, the moment they start to raise the head I was doom, never approach more than 40mts, that was my golden spot ( the one Flanker show us on his post some 2 years ago), also I try one 600mts south, same result.HooCairs wrote:Just trying this now. Re: Status Update - 8th of May 2019
Apologies if this has been answered:
1. What was the EM$ to membership remaining ratio? Because the value I was redeemed for membership doesn't even come close to the speculation math based on EM$ price to purchase vs membership $. I had several years left on my membership.
2. Price's in the Store, especially for weapon reskins have seemed to skyrocket, was this a way to 'retrieve' the membership reimbursement?
3. paying for ammo? Enough said by the other folks.
I am a hard core gamer, over the last 30 years, gaming has moved by leaps and bounds, but this is the first game I've played which has moved from the old school membership formula to the 'new' school free to play where I've seriously felt like the middle finger has been raised in my direction as a consumer.

That's interesting. Are you certain scent eliminator makes a difference on Turkeys? They should have no sense of smell at all, incredible vision, and better than average hearing.Nockedup wrote:I use scent eliminator even when I'm hunting turkeys. I haven't tested scent eliminator, because we were told early on that all the birds had no smell.
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!
