Indeed, a commercial failure, that's what I call it. :)

(I saved a lot of money too, because I would have bought all of them, including this one).

I can tell that you don't play a lot lately. I've encountered countless new issues the last few months, issues I've never seen after killing more than 65,000 animals in this game and in my opinion they're mostly related to their attempts to fix things.

Exactly! Now I can't say I didn't criticize re-skins before, because I did. But now, the point of them is absolutely ZERO - at least before, we got something for it, and I bought some and would've kept buying so they made that decision for me, not I. I don't know for sure, but I'd say they've reduced what they normally would've taken in from me by 70% - just a guess, could me even more.

No, I've not been playing much in the last year, but my comment was that the team has been fixing a lot of bugs lately. Not that there are no bugs in the game. There will always be bugs in the game, and with every new release more bugs will probably be introduced. But there's no denying that there has been a recent focus on bug fixing.

I know that doesn't make everything perfect. Rest assured I'm not defending Expansive Worlds. The update this week has introduced new issues that should have been caught before release. But if you look at the release notes for the last year you will see that in the last month or so, there have been some pretty annoying and longstanding bugs fixed. That's the extent of the point I was making.

There are countless more bugs that should be fixed, and there a lots of bad practices that should be addressed, but credit where credit is due.

I like to give credit to developers who limit the amount of bugs in new features and items and who don't wait years to fix them. The fact that they've suddenly decided to put more effort into fixing bugs after almost 10 years should encourage me to cheer and wave the "All credit to you guys!" banner, when their game is near the end of its life cycle and while they introduce new bugs during this process? No, that's not going to happen David! :)

In my view the development of this game is going to end fairly soon. We might get missions, competitions and events, maybe the odd re-skin here and there, and TreeKiwi also mentioned something about targets. Beyond that though I think things are starting to wrap up, and I don't believe there ever was an exciting roadmap for 2019. But recently some fairly annoying bugs were fixed, and personally I think that's because the development team is having one last push to get the game to an acceptable level before they say "what you have today is what you get forever".

I'm no longer the fanboy I used to be. I think Expansive Worlds has done this game a gross injustice by continuing to neglect proper quality control, by introducing unnecessary bugs to the game, and by adding content that I consider to be, well, crap frankly. But I'm grateful for any bugs that they can wipe out before they finally call it a day. So, whoever made the call to start focusing on bugs, has my gratitude. Yes, it's probably too little too late, but I will take what I can get.

I've been very judgemental and critical of Expansive Worlds of late. I think it's only fair to acknowledge when some progress is made. All that being said, I do understand your point. The recent game update is a perfect example of the lack of attention to detail, lack of quality control and haste that has plagued this game countless times throughout the last decade. But, it is what it is and no amount of complaining is going to change anything.

That won't stop us complaining though, because we love the game, and we hate when it doesn't get the love and care it deserves. Like this week.

Hello everyone, I did not understand what this option is with the update (Fixed missing localization for new mouse movement option.) Thanks.

Well said, I share with you the very same thoughts and so do probably many players. I really wish they stopped adding new stuff as soon as possible and leave it as it is for another few years. At this point it seems every new feature bring more damage than good. They will still have our financial support with renewed memberships to cover servers' costs and make some profit.

Re-skin alert! and to think I had a glimmer of hope this "new" bow wasn't going to be a re-skin. :|
It's weird to see some weapons with minimal differences but still target as new weapon (with no exp share/ eg. .300 Carbon) and some that are totally new, but still shares exp with one that don't look alike, like the Red Dragon and the Parket Python

Weapons must be the same or for the skills to be combined. If you look here, only one pair breaks that rule, the .30-06 Bolt Action Classic and the .30-06 Stutzen which are totally different. I think this is an oversight.

The .300 Carbon is different from the other .300s.

On the other side, the Red Dragon is an exact copy of the Parker, thus they are combined. Don't be fooled by the store pictures, the Red Dragon is just upside down. ;)
