Re: Update About Memberships and Business Model

Since one year ago and more, I noticed and wrote more times, they turned weird with commercial and they would ruin the game. But at the time no one seemed to care about it in here. Now we can see the bad situation in the immediate future of the game :|

Animal licenses scare new players, and the prices too, thats the only reason they go to the "causal/arcade" version, money.
ALL animals on ALL reserves are FREE for members ALL of the time, and always have been. Animal licenses are only required if you are a guest.
Free for 37€ per year. BUT you need to buy weapons for some animals. The shotgun and the .234 don't allow to hunt every animal. So make it + 10 € -20 €. That's a pretty high price for a limited play-time if you ask me. Especially when the game engine and the bug fixes are pretty low.

He said licences were extra with membership. They're not, they're included. You said play-time is limited. It's not, play-time is unlimited.

Unlimited play-time. Unlimited animals. Unlimited ammo. Multiple competitions, events, and missions. Win free stuff.

46 animals. 12 incredible reserves. $3 per month. $0.10 per day. That's nothing, a great value. Or play for free with the limitations. Or don't. Your choice. Great game.

The business model has been profitable for 10 years and telling EW for the umpteenth time that they have done it wrong doesn't change the fact. The changes might indicate that it's stopped being so profitable after 10 years, but that's what happens with an old product at one point.

It's called the free market, guys. If you think it's worth the price tag, buy it. If not, don't. I'd love to drive a Ferrari at least for a while, but I don't think it's worth the price tag and I'd rather buy a house for my family. But I don't call the local Ferrari dealer and tell him he gets it wrong.

I think the declination of game for some user who left is so many new bugs, lack of interest on doing the things the RIGHT WAY, no professional direction/control/testing/deployment over UPDATES (just let's see the yesterday update!, they bug the Dall Sheep) that's poor control/testing, no straight talking to Clients/Gamers/Users , constant RE-SKIN of Weapons with same characteristics of old ones, but some times re-skin more expensive, lies about some animals and reserves (Africa on COTW and THC), no Update of THC animals like: Turkey, Roosevelt Elk, Bears, etc. Look at the Grizzly the face so funny looks more like a LEMUR than a Bear, the fur of Grizzly now looks like he's peeling instead of leafy.

I always loved this game, now I started to think that behind this alleged new commercial policy, free market or like you might call it, and also with all the issues related to the game itself (bugs, changes for the worst, mess with bugged updates etc.) there is a desire to remove more people from the game, pushing them to choose cotw.
And I must say, that If only I didn't love the game as much as I do, I'd have long since abandoned it, not for cotw for sure.
