Just happened to me.
I started a hunt (SP) and selected Picabeen Bay to hunt Water Buffalo for the Big Five Competition and immediately got an Error Problem message with the "Got It" display and I was deducted one attempt on the competition. Certainly hope this is not repeated. :x
Not good for the moral toward big competitions and wonder how this can be fixed and a solution can be reached.
Yes, It has happened to me ,actually quite often lately. 3 times in the football jamboree. I have wrote to support a couple times regarding the problem. The answer is that their is nothing they can do about it. They need to add a 1 or 2 minute grace period for an attempt to count to keep this from causing problems in competitions.

I would have to do some real searching to get them high scores.
Nice to know though what the individual animal scores were.... :)

I did not know this. I know some animals have been scaled, but what is this 907? Is it a reason for this? Why not 900 for example? :)
I think I got 907 from the wiki could have been some where else though I am not sure I really don't remember. The max spotting on bison is 910

Wiki not always show right information. About score i dont want to talk but about weight for sure. All what spotting skill show you as max number. Is possible. So in theory 3830 max score.
