They adjusted (lowered) spook distance. I haven't played with it with deer yet, but with a rabbit my dog can be pointing at 20m and not spook it. I'm not wearing any rabbit camo, either.

If so then the that dog is on my list of future purchases, i don't go after rabbits too much nowadays, but when i have to go again the pointer gonna be a really nice addition. :)

A good multi skilled hunting dog is is good because its not stupid.
My dogs knew if I had a rifle we were hunting deer, and if I had a shotgun we were hunting birds or rabbits.
Buggered if I know how they learned the difference but they very rarely got it wrong.
Old hunters never die. They just sit around the campfires and tell the biggest lies.

To those that say this dog should only go after birds and not deer and onwards I say... why? that's boring.
I much prefer a dog that is more different than just buying another Retriever because that's what you pretty much would have if they only let it go after birds.
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

My GSP would not even lower it's self to acknowledge that rabbits even existed ;) he was only interested in feathers and would point flush and retrieve them, he would mark just about every bird that came in to land.
Great dog, very intelligent, but would only listen to me and to a much lesser extent the family, anyone else he ignored completely. He did win the obedience championship at our local dog club and took 3rd at the county game fair.
Miss him loads, now to see if I can get my in game GSP to behave like Fritz.

Detection Range
This skill dictates how far out your dog can pick up signs of an animal. Here are the digits once again:

Detection Range Level 1 = 120m from the player
Detection Range Level 2 = 160m from the player
Detection Range Level 3 = 200m from the player
Yeah... I don't know about that.
I just had my German Pointer detect the closest Euro Rabbit burrow nest from 1143m away.
You could literally clear the whole map with it.
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

Your Pointer will always detect the closest animal of the type you commanded it to find. The radius of detection varies with skill. The animals you find with your dog are as follows:

Level 1: Pheasants, Ptarmigan, Ducks, Turkey, Rabbits of all types.
Level 2: Foxes, Geese, and Coyote
Level 3: Bobcat and Deer (this doesn't include Moose/Elk)
Is it possible to hunt the bobcats immediately?
Or do you have to go first from level 1 and level 2?

This is not the lvl of the dog, but the lvl of the skill. I assume the currently greyed out commands will then be useable.

After dog level 4, the level 2 (fox, geese, coyote) command shows open on the wheel, but do not work for me. When I try to use it my hand lowers, but nothing happens. I even tried to use it while looking at some geese that had landed and nothing happened.
