You are correct, however if there is a big stoppage they stop the clock in Rugby as well. Then they will also put injury time on afterwards as well! I love American football, I would cycle home from college on Monday and turn on the sports channel to watch it live! I watched enough games to learn all the rules etc.stancomputerhunter wrote:I agree with both of your last posts, TK and Ron. Except for size. There are no 6-7, 6-8 players weighing 320 lbs with 5% body fat that can run a 40 yrd dash in under 5 seconds, playing rugby. Those little guys that play rugby are tough, not quite as tough as the Aussies who play "footy", Aussie rules football, but close.
Edit: TK, those rugby guys don't go non-stop. A scrum every 20 seconds, time to rest on the field. Just because the clock is running, doesn't mean they are going. By and large, of all of them, the soccer players seem to be the most fit. No fatties anywhere. But they fall on the ground and cry for 3 minutes, while the clock is running, so their "mates" as you call them, can get a breather.
Having played both as well Liam, I broke a guys leg playing Grid iron and broke my collar bone playing Rugby , I really think its just the same between the two.. wrong place wrong time, good timing, good hit. Ones just got pads and one doesn't. I got too small to play in NZ though, those island boys are huge!
Rugby league is awesome as well, I think that's what you mean Stan? Aussie Rules is a different game, they bounce the ball and such. League is my prefered Egg sport to watch.. not much of it here in Sweden though!
How much Rugby have you watched Stan?
*Edit.... Marc... how's Germany going???
