You can watch the video here. Skip through the first parts, there will be LOTS more information coming out on Thursday and I will be browsing this thread before I write it :)

Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up, Mat. The deployable targets look nice!

Please don't take this the wrong way: I can absolutely understand the fact that you can't find the time to write a lengthy status update today, even more so since it's a holiday in Sweden tomorrow - but why the heck don't you release the new items on Thursday then? Wouldn't it make sense not to release new stuff without much explanation, just a few hours before the office is empty for almost two days?

Anyway, enjoy your holiday, buddy. Don't get too drunk, you need to become a responsible father now! :P

JamboWhoDat wrote:TK I strongly suggest you put a link in the original post to last week's stream about the deployable targets so it will answer all the questions. Otherwise this thread is going to be bombard with post about, "the target's are broke. I can't see where I hit it. The targets don't make a noise at 300m. They are broke etc."

 Ron and serge the first 15 min of last week's stream explains everything about the deployable targets and why they purposely did what they did to them.
i missed the first bit of the stream. so didnt know about it.also only a small amount of people watch the stream.so many wont know about the items.ideally the information should be available for release.not trying to be funny about it. i dont even know about the items and i played the game for nearly ten years.imagine a new player who doesnt watch streams.or even know they exist.

testing all the targets at the moment and there might be a issue with render range.more testing then will report back.

okay i tested this with two people.at 200m cant see targets placed.for many long range shooters this needs to be changed.not sure why its happening but they dont render past two hundred unless you see them first.now on a range that means you will have to get the targets in sight first then go back.which isnt ideal.
Yeah exactly know what you mean which is why suggested TK put link to stream in announcement. I have no idea nor understanding why EW consistently makes a release without instructions nor info but instead says will tell you later. It's like computer programming sometimes. A ceo or vp comes to a developer and says, "we just got a new project with a new client. You go start programming their new app and have ready for Friday while I send someone to schedule a meeting to find out what they want."

They need the community to buy these items today so they will have money for beer for tomorrow's beer party. :D

well the 200m issue needs to be addressed.many people will want long range shots but the targets wont render at those distances.unless you walk to them.was just going to make the video on them all.will wait till this is fixed.imagine you got a target at 450m.you will have to walk to 200m every time you want to shoot it.thats one target.maybe someone missed this.seems a small thing but its actually a big thing especially if you a long range shooter.

You can walk out to 250 to get it to render, but it un-renders again when you get back to 130m. They are only visible out to 320m.
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!

That makes sense, absolutely, thanks for the explanation. In this case I'll buy a bunch of targets of course, even if I don't know yet how they're supposed to work! :D

Seriously, it does give me a good reason to rewatch the stream, so no worries.

I just finished shooting one of the round targets at 400+ meters.

if you spawn in new hunt.have a target at 201m or more you wont see it until to get to 200m.just tried it with different targets.many people who want targets dont want to walk back forth.imagine long range shooters.they want 400m plus.you just had increased render range yet you cant see a target at less than the old render range.also imagine what really long shots are like often they from top of a mountain so this could mean fast travelling just to get it in render.things like this really need to be tightened up.gotten right for release.

the targets are great but the one thing i really want them for cant use them for.no info telling people this either.so what happens when a customer buys them for eg that ? what happens is you get a unhappy customer.seems small can have a big effect.please tighten up get launches right.

@ronMctube...They are no good anyway for long range shooting, need a 3D target for that. These flat targets are entirely to thin to hit from 500+ m.

EDIT I guess I need to clarify the above statement. They are not good for MY long range shooting, as I use Bows.
