The new rifle seems to work well on Sitka- 100+m, even body hits dropped them after they ran a few paces. I haven't tried it on nuthin' bigger. Perhaps it is like what the .17HMR is to foxes- don't use it on bigger game. Peace.

Same as the 2-6x26mm Rifle Scope.
My guess is this new rifle is a .308 in disguise, sounds to be the same power wise.
Good on medium sized game but bad on anything higher.

I can share that guess. Actually that's the reason why so many rifles pop into the game all the time. Imo.

I tried it and got only body hits from 60 to 80 m. And all bear shots are no vital but only body hits, also from 15 m!

Ah well now you know how to test to see if a rifle is good just from doing that, thanks for giving your results m8.
Test helps because I've tried the 6.5x55 Bolt Action Rifle and it CAN hit brain at 80m Moose decoy, odd thing is though the 6.5x55 Bolt Action Rifle isn't even ethical for Moose. See the funny part here.

And yet the .308 is 180 grain in game. The 6.5x55 is 140 grain. And this new one is supposed to be 135 grain. Well, it's the same feeling I got when I shot my personal best Water Buffalo. I unintentially shot it with the .30R. Didn't realize it until Docs messages. But damn, that Water Buffalo dropped like nothing. Hehe, it's now reminding me everytime I look at my signature. Yes. There he is. Scoring 256.537 even though it was disqualified.

Change your language and change it back, or clear your cache. I'm not buying any more weapons until they release the 9.3x74R, and I might not then either.

Clearing the caches did it. Thanks. This new weapon I'd probably not buy. Seemed a bit weak in the live stream for my liking and we already have a bunch of guns that are "meh". I'd rather see the two new ammo types being added instead. And also the 9.3x74R of course but I get tired of even listening to myself saying one more word about this god forsaken rifle.

I'm not sure if they realize it, but this delayed release strategy only makes them look tight-fisted and ham-handed. It does nothing for the image of the company as an open-for-business entity, rather it makes them look almost entirely self-serving. And to what end, to what actual purpose does this posturing via bait-and-wait on immediately marketable weapons provide? Anybody? Increased demand? Improved sales? Or at least the base effect of tantalization for titillation? All I get is aggravation, of delay, and astonishment, at the missed opportunity. This rifle was the perfect compliment to Piccabeen Bay and should have coincided with its release. Sales missed to people who have already passed through the exit gate are irreplaceable you know. Haven't you heard the maxim "strike while the iron is hot?" Unbelievable. Meanwhile PB struggles to attract even a handful of hunters.
What gives EW? You got a knot in your skivvies? You need an enema, Darlin'? Quit holding your breath all the time and exhale for a change; you might actually prefer the crisp, refreshing bursts of oxygen-sweetened air whistling through your starving, pneumonic, crepe paper, wizened lungs.

That's the million dollar question.
I've said it before. I think something is wrong with the circumstances with this gun. I don't think the permitted species will be the same when, or if, it does come out.

I don't really have have a problem with holding back the weapons, cause they did it with every retail box release since 2012 and im ok with giving the winners of the holiday competition something special for like half a year. its not like there are no other rifles to shoot with.

Well, I think it is a problem. And almost everybody else. I mean, WHY? Also I know there's some people trying to get the reward for shooting 25 animals with every weapon and as long as the 9.3x74R is in the store that can not be achieved.

Just put some 50 rounds on the beesties at RFF range. No brain hit on the 80m Moose, some single lung hits on several Moose and body shots only on the Bears. Well I bought it, hoped it would be a step up from the 6.5x55, come back Swede, it tempted me with its looks.

Actually the black bears on the range in RFF, for everybody's information, are broken. They can only show 3 things: Hip bone, Intestines and Body. I tried a number of different weapons earlier today.

If the scoring of the Sambar & Rusa have been corrected will that straighten out their wrong scores before the patch?
Probably not,... but it is a shame I have shot a lot of big Sambars with low scores. When maps first open up that is when I am the most interested in playing them, too bad for all the mishaps.
New gun released (7x64),... but the new 9.3 x 74R is still in limbo? Does it work right? Why can't this gun be bought?
Please do some overtime work on the bugs that are effecting our gameplay,...
It's really frustrating playing the game and when things don't work the way they should it is not as satisfying as it really could be.
Remember Kiwi,..... this is not targeted at you,... but please relay these thoughts to the Devs............
We need our game back in working order............

1. The bugs of course. i have not the slightest intention to play there with knowing that the scoring is a mess. Id hate to shoot a big animal with a wrong low score or a score thats much too high and i never have the chance to top it again after its fixed.

I remember my first encounter with a Sambar Deer. Scored (as in my signature) 306.654. Nothing strange with that I thought. The thing that stood out was the CSS. It was well above 190. And the guy I played with shot one with a CSS of above 220. This will obviously never happen again and that Sambar I shot back then will forever be my PB.

My maxed out .308 is clearly more effective with hogs at long range than this one so far. I get the impression that the 7x64 gets rather weak beyond medium range, but at short/medium range they feel rather similar.

Update: I just tested on the shooting range, which confirms my suspicion. Animals nearby give identical results, but on the moose all the way at the end (56 meters) I constantly get a double lung shot with the .308, while the 7x64 gives me a single lung shot. It's disappointing to see how quickly it drops its effectiveness.

Gonna have to say I'm having trouble in getting a Sambar with 100% HV.
It doesn't penetrate 2 lungs at point blank range? C'mon.

Maybe because the 7x64 is weaker than the 6.5x55? On the range it certainly is.
