Happy Hunting!

Finally. That bug's been around for what... like 4 years or so?... but it only took trying to sell more .223 Semi-Automatic weapons to fix it?... and in just a couple of weeks? Awesome.

What was wrong with those scopes? I never noticed anything strange about them.

Im also at a loss as to what the problem was with the scope. I have used both the 223's scoped since they were first available and never saw any problem with them.
Old hunters never die. They just sit around the campfires and tell the biggest lies.

Pretty sure it was a visual bug if you looked at the scope using free look or with taking a trophy shot. The scope was like, mashed onto the gun without mounts or something. Not something you probably would have noticed with casual gameplay.

Correct Ashley, mostly. The scope mount was missing so the scope looked like it was welded directly to the barrel. However, the bug also altered the animation transition sequence where the weapon is shouldered and scope view is entered: in the broken animation the scope's eyepiece never actually reached alignment with your eye.

Because the scope mount was missing it changed the height of the eyepiece and crosshairs, so that when the weapon was shouldered the top of the scope only came up to your cheekbone; and then, when switching over to scope view, the scope magically appeared to 'jump up' to eye level during the switchover. Lowering the weapon was exactly the opposite: when scope view was exited it magically jumped down again, and then the scope looked like it was being removed from the cheekbone, not the eye. It was noticeably different from the smooth transitions to and from eye level that go unnoticed when the sequence is working properly. It was very disorienting, and annoying.

The bug resurfaced most often when sharing the 2-10 x 42 scope between the .223 Semi-Auto and the Scout. It didn't always happen, but once it started it was impossible to get rid of for the remainder of the hunt. Complaints on Discord and the streams, that the scopes were buggy with the 'new' .223 and Scout 'reskins', were finally enough to get it fixed. Why? Because it was suddenly about money....
