Some great trophies posted as of late, for sure. Marc, don't speak too soon. Those may be the last three 23+ score Black Bears you'll get for a few years LOL. Myself, I got me a REALLY nice Whitetail buck! I was with my usual hunting partner Moon, and we were on Settlers Creek for a bit of a change from the norm. We had decided to try hunting Cottontails, and then go North for anything else. After killing a small WT buck just off the field from the lodge, we were walking and got a call from a WT buck. Of course, called back and sprayed some WT scent. As we are looking around for it, Moon tells me "I see him, OH thats a BIG BUCK! Guessing 210 max for me!" I was looking as I could not see him from my angle, but when I did I scoped him and got the reading of 185-215 score. I knew this was a big guy! So she tells me "Take him, that could be the 200+ you're looking for" I agreed as he looked far too massive to be under, or at least high 190's. Didn't wanna give him a whole lot of time as he was coming in because there were a few restless Feral Hogs around as well, and we didn't want to accidentally spook one into him, spooking him in the process. So I took him down with one well-placed shot from the 9.3x74R, and when I claimed him we both were like "YES!!" when the score came up. My biggest WT in a long time, and finally the 200+ I've been after! He now resides in my Trophy Lodge
