Can you make another video showing how to drop a sambar.. might make you re think the part where u said
"if you can knock a red deer down at a reasonable distance then you should be able to knock down anything that nis in the ethical list down pretty easy"

Not saying this in a rude way but man, those sambar have some kevlar or something because they are taking that 7x64mm like its a bee sting

I took a couple of sambar in that hunt, and on both of them I aimed a bit behind the front leg. The first was from about 75m and I got single lung. He dropped within 10 seconds. The other one, which I posted the link to, was from just over 100m, to prove a point, and he was quartering away from me (which is how I obviously managed to get through one lung and into the heart). Same deal though, I aimed for a few inches behind the front leg. Now, there's absolutely no way I could get a double lung shot on a sambar, probably not even from 50m. But is it impossible to hit vitals over 100m? No, it's absolutely possible, and I reckon I could do it with a reasonable degree of consistency if I took my time with shot placement.

That's not to say the rifle couldn't use some tweaks to make it more fun, but if it didn't, I still wouldn't have a problem with it.

My comment was directed at Ron to try. but nice result.
I've been hearing bad things about that rifle as I don't own the rifle so I can't try it out for myself.
Thanks for posting your result anyway, least now we know it's possible.
