Took a bit of digging to find but here you go. 2 58cal pure lead Conical (Minnie) bullets. The one on the left is unfired. The one on the right has been recovered from ballistic gelatin (a media that simulates flesh used to test bullet expansion).



SOURCE In the interest of transparency I took that image from a video done by a historic arms aficionado. He was testing the lethality of historic military arms. The Results pictured are from Minnie's impacting at a simulated 100m using military grade powder charges that are roughly 1/2 that used by sportsmen.

Interesting one. Personally, I haven't tested yet the muzzle pistol with the water buffalo, so far I can say that the most effective weapon with them, is the 45-70 Government LAR
