Watch it in HD or you likely won't see the deer until the end!
I knew the deer was in that direction and I had been calling him to me. I was obviously looking for him, but there is so much going on in the environment that I didn't see it. To make it worse, a doe called and I was going to check the direction (even though I could tell from my headphones) but then decided to stick with the buck - I knew it was a buck because I had heard him grunt. Anyway, watch it two or three times and you might be surprised at when you first see the deer - I missed it - and never noticed it until I replayed the video (maybe you'll catch it the first time, but I didn't when I was hunting! Guess that's obvious though hehe)

And yes, I was aiming for the head - I would not do that in real life, but, without getting into it too much, there is currently an issue with some animals sometimes not dying even from a good vital shot (they are working on fixing it - this is still pre-release!), so I aimed for the head - but he moved it - which is one of the main reasons you should not aim at the head to begin with! (The head moves more often and more quickly than any other part on the deer and you risk wounding it and causing it terrible suffering).
Can you spot the deer before I do?

I bet I'm going to hear that a lot
But I did say to watch carefully. In game, or should I say, in the sim, you'd be surprised at what you can miss in the heat of the moment!
