Backpack Suggestion
I never understood " the backpack " and why to buy it. Its purely cosmetic and when you got the wrong camo per area you get screwed by spook as well.
Why not add 2.5kg to carry, (add some noise for all I care) and make the slot for pistols a pistol/bow/xbow slot.
The extra carry weight is half of that of a dog (which adds to 20+5kg of stuff to carry anyway) so it should make sense and translated to items able to be carried due to it being on your back and out of the way. Since you can strap items to your backback you then have more space to carry Either a pistol like normal OR a bow (not on hip but on backpack)
Makes sense, its a great Idea, and if you pull it off I will instantly buy all the bags. Promise

Re: Backpack Suggestion
As FYI, you are not penalized for wearing the wrong backpack camo. When you're wearing the right camo, you get a bonus, but you're never penalized for the wrong camo.

Re: Backpack Suggestion
I partially agree, it not useful other than a "cute" thing, like a dog scarf, but if you give a 2.5kg + the dog backpack then you can end carrying a whole arsenal, i would agree with the 2.5kg but with the "no weapons allowed" rule, then you can carry ammo, water bottles, med packs, etc. That way you can get an useful backpack whiteout turn the hunter in a "one man army".

also keeping in mind people hunting without a dog. But I agree, equipment/ammo onlyVonStratos wrote:2.5kg + the dog backpack = whole arsenal
However, since a bow is lightweight, I dont see it a bad thing to make it possible to carry a bow or pistol and many other hunters have suggested before

Hawkeye, could you explain to me what bonus and why ? I don't own a backpack, but if it gives me bonuses it maybe worth buyingHawkeye wrote:When you're wearing the right camo, you get a bonus, but you're never penalized for the wrong camo.

Yeah, if you look at the description for the backpacks that have camo pattern, it'll tell you they give "Excellent" visual reduction for the appropriate maps. Each backpack works in different areas, but the descriptions will tell you where.strandjutter wrote:Hawkeye, could you explain to me what bonus and why ? Re: Backpack Suggestion
how easy do people want this game?. is 2 rifles, all the callers and scent cover not enough. just carry a tent its 25% of max capacity and then you're carrying everything

I am not asking for laser guided missile systems, I merely trying to point out that a backpack for pure cosmetics is a bit strange.

Re: Backpack Suggestion
Extra capacity was available for many years before physical backpacks were added to the game. You couldn't exactly remove the extra capacity from the many players who already had it, and it would have been unrealistic to allow players to carry more than they already do. As a result, we got cosmetic backpacks which give a camo bonus for the appropriate maps.rhapsodaisical wrote:L3M182 wrote:how easy do people want this game?. is 2 rifles, all the callers and scent cover not enough. just carry a tent its 25% of max capacity and then you're carrying everything

how is it strange? we have a tonne of purely cosmetic items in the store. They announced it as such, and even gave everyone a free one. im aware you're not asking for missiles, but your asking for more capacity to make an already easy game easier. if we got this someone else would ask fora bit more carry weight and the guy after would probably request the missiles.
when i started playing it was a 4x scope and single shot rifles. now we have rifle rests, bags on dogs camo for every spot of ground and fast firing powerhouse rifles with a 22x scope on top and the animals are still as dumb as ever and still people want range finding on the thing.
and just to counter the inevitable generic"you dont have to use it" i dont use it, but people who compete are immediately at a disadvantage if they want any from of challenge and enjoyment in the comps
