We need more view distance with the new reserve

Post by Shedalizzm »

Such a big map, such nice views, lots of nice spots to camp.

But only seeing animals at 200meters is useless on this map. Feels like i can only see 20meters on this map.

Every meter added to render distance increases load on the system exponentially. I'm not the more math inclined, but this has been discussed before. I'm sure a good forum search will bring up the mathematics for you.

well the new grafics sure puts some load on the machine too, that is not an argument.

In my optinon it would not be a problem to increase the system requirements.

If the Hunter should keep working on Notebooks from 2001 we will be stuck with the development of the game at some point. (nobody wants Virtual Reality for example?)

I'm always pro render distance increase, 220 is fine in the forrest but on the open field its too less. A friend of mine is often hunting in hungary, the farest shot he did was about 320m. And that's shooting, they spot Animals there on the open field much further.

I wish they could make it further too.

It does feel crazy short on the new reserve. However I did notice quite a bit more load on my laptop with new graphics. Same settings as before and my 2nd GPU is running like 7deg C hotter. I can imagine the extra performance hit with extending the render range.

I would love more view distance in the game. I also have a pretty good PC to back it up so I wouldn't lose much fps. Best option would be to have a slider in the settings so everyone can customize it for their hardware. I'm still wondering why there is no FOV slider too?

Because of the competitive nature of the game, (comps, missions, leaderboards, etc.), everyone needs to be seeing the same distance. Otherwise people with stronger computers would have a huge advantage.
Personal Bests...
