Swedish military bike?

Post by ReadThoreau »

Horses are of course the Champions League, no question. But what about a bicycle? For Maps like Settler Creeks and White Heart, I think it would be ideal. Agile, quiet and a good method to quickly get to the prefered hunting spots.

Of course, it may not just any bike. It should already be a special one. Must look good and be very robust.

I would have found a very suitable. Incidentally, it is also from Sweden. Here are a few links on the history of the bike, to brand page and a nice youtube video.

I would imagine that would be a fantastic driving experience to rush over Settlers or White Heart. I could also imagine it could develop between two Swedish companies with similar target groups, maybe a constructive partnership.

Damn, is this a fantastic bike! :D

Yea, but with the .300 Win. Mag. would be funny.

But seriously, I think it would be really a great way to get around. We would certainly not be the first to ride a bike through the hunting ground. But surely a matter of personal setting. Driving bike is a huge trend. Carefully implementet a cool thing with a bit retro flair. Also a strong trend in actual marketing.

Kronan has benefited from it. :D

Greats,

I'm a little skeptical, ATV or horse would be nice though, or any other means of transportation.

A bike could be a pretty good compromize. It´s quiet, can´t go over rough terrain (at least not the bike suggested above :)) and doesn´t run at 80mph. But there´s alot of things we would have to consider before implementing any vehicles, it´s not as easy as one might think.

Well, one would not need a bike if we had the possibility to use camping supplies and a tent to set the next starting point at almost every location (kind of a savegame), as it would be in RL: up with the tent, a cosy (alternatively wet and cold) evening at a campfire, humming some old songs and roasting a bit of feral hog meat...additionally some bavarian beer (sorry, but I am a patriot considering beer ;) )
