19.) (Bug) Weapons not always notifying in game when they have leveled up, sometimes the stats don't update until much much later.

20.) Rabbits in and out of holes hit with longbow don't die, and it's not funny to watch them move in and out of holes with arrows still in them. Same goes for Geese/Ducks hit with longbow don't always die instantly, and return to flock, and never die unless hit again.

I wrote a response to this before I looked at the date of it. I don't have any of these issues. I do agree the bait site penalty needs to go. It's not appropriate in my opinion that a person who grinds missions for gm$, earns or supports the game and devs buying em$, to purchase a bait site gets penalized. Especially since guests in a game aren't subject to the same penalty.

I have the same opinion about tents. It's backwards that the owner, who would be sleeping in the tent (already there), has a 150m no animal penalty but anyone else can pop right in only producing a risk of ruining the game on themselves and anyone nearby. Everyone should have the same penalties so we all have to work around these mechanics the same.

You sure your responding to the right post, because all of these things happen still to this date.

I'm positive I've posted in the correct topic. I edited my original response. If we edit within a short amount of time, I think it's 5 minutes, it doesn't publish an edited notification.

Almost all of the things you requested fixed or mentioned frustration or dislike about is possibly due to how you're using those items or it's just part of how hunting goes.

For example we're not going to get every flock of geese or ducks that flies over to break. I often experience several flocks in a row that don't break even though the game I'm in has a full set of decoys, everyone's in the appropriate camo and using callers. It doesn't mean the game's broken it just means that or those flocks didn't react to the callers and decoys and break.

Lay prone. Don't use or carry shooting tripod rests (shooting stands).

The store pages for the shooting mats shares in the description text we cannot shoot animals from them while standing on them. Can we shoot animals from them if we're crouched or laying prone? The shooting mats are meant to be in a prone position on. If we can't shoot animals while on them at all in my opinion that's appropriate. Since shooting mats give unlimited ammo too many players would abuse that feature and never buy ammo. If we can't shoot animals from them at all that's why we can't.

Blinds are unstable? How? If we place them on uneven ground of course they're not going to stay there as we placed them permanently. Wind or rain and animals running into or landing on them would realistically cause them to collapse or flip over. I have blinds and tents on my maps that have been there since I placed them 10 years ago. They're on flat ground, away from any other object, and haven't ever been moved. They're in the same place and position I put them in when I placed them. The don't glitch and look like they've flipped over or came loose out of the ground.

I have had them do that when I didn't put them on flat ground away from other collision objects.
I moved them a bit, onto flat ground and away from other objects and that corrected it (permanently).

When we experience a tent or blind that's glitched into the ground or looks like it flipped over even though it is on flat ground clear of other objects exiting the game and relaunching fixes that.

The way i'm referencing this is BROKEN as in a bug. I know how the system works, and i'm fine with how it works. What I am saying is if it's a multiplayer game, the players will get 1 to 3 breaks if the host is not there with them, and then for 10 to 100 HOURS Or 20 or 30 flocks nothing else will break ever again, until the server is restarted. Even if the host goes back to the blind, they can't get anything to break. They totally glitch, and this is after only 5 or 6 birds are killed, I kill 60 to 100 birds in an hour on that setup when i'm by myself. I know what i'm talking about. I have killed over 5500 Magpie geese throughout the years.

On a side note, I have my server open to the public alot, but i don't actively hunt birds every time i run a reserve that has bird hunting. It doesn't take long for players to start asking why don't the birds break. At first I thought the same as you suggested, but after here it over 20 or 30 times, I decided to prove them wrong, went to the blind and I couldn't get any to break for over an hour flocks flew over and over, nothing would break on a spot that can break those birds any time of day as long as they are flying over. So then decided to figure out the why part, because I had hunted with friends on birds numerous times, we had zero issues. UNTIL i wasn't actively in the blind hunting with them.

I wasn't referencing the penalty for shooting animal, I was referencing the warmup timer to make them become active.......

This was a suggestions, not me saying they were broke.

They previously added weapon stabilization to everything but ground blinds...........Towers etc etc, they forgot ground blinds, so when shooting out of one, it takes into account standing position.

The rest of the stuff is suggestions my friend, including the tripods work, they aren't working as good as they should for the cost.

Maybe the wording isn't right on some of the things I listed and a lot of them can't be edited for some reason, but the way you worded stuff towards me like i'm a new player. I'm not, I've been around as long as you have.

Miscellaneous

Distance Travelled 3470.34 km (2156.37 miles)
Hunt Duration 101d 13h 30m 37s (2,437 Hours in game, and that's active hunting time, not because i had the launcher open, that's 7000+ hours if you include launcher hehe, and that's only steam, i played before we had steam as well.)

We have to be able to consistently reproduce any issues we experience. If we can't share how to cause the issue(s) to happen (key word: consistently) developers aren't able to make the problem happen therefore they aren't able to investigate it to produce a correction.

I've heard other fellow players mention the bird breaking thing before now that you explained it. Thanks for explaining.
I haven't experienced it myself. I'm in and out of my bird blinds and I almost always have my games open to the public too.
It hasn't happened in my games. If I'm in the blind with someone and leave it they still continue to shoot at and harvest birds.
This issue could be due to peer connection quality which nobody has any control over. If it is a connection quality thing between players in the game adding a latency limit setting hosts can set to their games might help with that.

I got what you said about bait sites/feeders. In my opinion we shouldn't expect animals to instantly appear at a feeder within an hour after we place or fill it. Realistically, in real life, sometimes it takes several days or even a full year or more for baited areas to become populated. 4 hours for the game is a lot sooner of a guarantee animals will be there than the small chance baiting somewhere will increase populations in that area in real life.

We know our work schedule. We know what days and times we have time to game if we're busy. It's not impossible to plan ahead.
I personally don't want the game to be any more arcade-like than it is. No thanks...:P
I'd rather features that make it more realistic be introduced.
I was sharing my opinion on how bait sites work.

You said you really wished we could use "ground mats out in the field on live animals." I haven't tried it. From what the store page says it sounds like we can use them on live animals if we're laying prone as they're intended to be used.
We can't? Good! People would abuse it. As I said: That's why we can't shoot animals from shooting mat if that's the case.

Standing inside a blind shouldn't effect weapon wobble while aiming.
We're standing whether we're standing inside of something or not.

Yes but they added the stabilization to everything else because you can't go prone in a blind. That's the thing is you could actually balance your rifle on the blind just like they assume you can do with towers and tree stands therefore it should have weapons stabilization like everything else

and obviously they should make it to where we can take the shooting mats out or give us a version of the shooting mats that don't have unlimited ammo. because I like the fact that when you're lying prone on a shooting mat it clears some of the foliage in front of you and around you

also the foliage the same reason why shooting arrests should provide a lot more than they do because they provide a lot in real life as well and I know this is just a game but they could have made them a bit better

I believe hoocairs did a video on it showing that even at level 20 weapons and using a tripod rest is very very bad in comparison to lying prone with the same weapon

These blinds are like tent material, they deploy similar to how a tent does. Realistically they have little chance of helping us hold a rifle more steady. The structural parts would bend causing the blind to collapse or rip the material.

It's easy enough to scoot a few inches one way or another to get a clear view while laying prone around grass without a shooting mat. I have the same opinion about shooting rests: they're optional, not necessary. Lay prone. There haven't been many times I've run into the situation where there wasn't a rock nearby I could climb on and lay prone to get above excessively high grass.

If a player wants a mat or a shooting rest great. Purchases from the store are final, no returns or refunds. We should do our homework extremely well and be sure we know how an item we're considering works, and that we'll be satisfied with it.

We're all more than welcome to share our opinion of course. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry I don't completely agree. I've shared my opinion with the suggestions you've shared.

I've been preparing my own list similar to your topic here I don't expect every other player to agree with. I also hope but don't expect it everything I suggest to get enough attention from the devs that they consider anything in it. Silence gets us no where.
We don't know if we don't try! :)

Who knows. Maybe they will improve the shooting rests and introduce a shooting mat that doesn't give unlimited ammo and make standing in a ground blind stabilize aim wobble or even better yet allow the improved shooting rest to be placed inside a ground blind.

For sure man, and just an FYI i have a popup ground blind that i use for deer hunting, got one already this year, and they will help hold a rifle steady, just ask the six point whitetail in my freezer hahaha :).
