Mouse Wheel Scrolls through equipped items

Postby Bort » December 21st, 2023, 6:12 am

I got an AutoHotKey script going that allows using the mouse wheel to scroll through equipped items in our inventory.
I thought others might be interested in using it so I'm sharing it.

How to use it:

Step 1: Download and install AutoHotKey
- version 2! does not work for earlier versions.

Step 2: After it's installed run the AutoHotKey (AHK) program.
- Click on "New Script"
- Enter a title in the Title field (name it whatever you want)
- With "Empty" selected click on the "Edit" button. This opens your default text editor.
- Enter the code below into the text file and save it.
- Close the text editor.

Step 3: Right-Click on the AHK program's icon and select the script.
- If it's not in the right-click menu navigate to the script file you just created, right-click the .ahk file, and select "Run Script".
- By default scripts are saved to Documents\AutoHotKey

Code: Select all

#Requires AutoHotkey v2.0
#SuspendExempt
NumpadSub::Suspend
#SuspendExempt False

WheelDown::
WheelUp:: {
Static o:=0
Send "{" (++o:=Mod(o+InStr(A_ThisHotkey,"o"), 9)) " Down}"
Sleep(100), Send("{" o " Up}")
}

Controls:
NumPad - (minus key):
Enables / Disables the script while keeping AHK running so you can use the wheel mouse to scroll normally.

WheelMouse UP (forward):
Starting at the last number key the script triggered goes up one digit each mouse wheel position. 1 through 9.

WheelMouse DOWN (toward you):
Starting at the last number key the script triggered goes down one digit each mouse wheel position. 9 through 1.

I prefer to use the mouse wheel for zooming in and out with scopes. Of course, I'm old enough to remember when mice didn't have a scroll wheel... or when computers didn't have mice! :? :shock: :lol:

And MS Paint was the equivalent of when Minecraft first came out. :lol:

MS Paint is something I still use... but I've never played Minecraft. ;)
