Hello,
I'm currently preparing for the christmas event and also want to hunt moose and reindeer more often.
Does anyone have a nice tree stand / tent location, especially for hunting moose and reindeer? Roe and lynx would be optional, but maybe there is a nice spot where you can get them all?
Any hints are highly apreciated. Thanks!

Re: Tips for a Hemmeldal tree stand / tent location?
If you look at the coordinates for these two harvests, those are my favorite two spots for waiting for Reindeer in a treestand (you have to be logged into your account in the browser you're using to open them to view).

The northern one is less than 1km from the lodge, so I usually just start at the lodge and fast travel to it. They're nice and centralized in the mountains. Some times it my take an hour or two or three before any Reindeer show up, but when they do it seems to usually be two or three herds, one right after the other. I just call in Roe deer and Moose and Lynx while I'm waiting for the clacking sound of Reindeer tendons or the call of a bull.

Re: Tips for a Hemmeldal tree stand / tent location?
A favorite spot of mine on Hemmeldal is right at the intersection of the road that leads east down the hill from the Northern lodge (Koppartorp). At the intersection of the roads that go North/South all the way through the reserve on the East side of the map and the road that comes down from the Koppartorp Lodge there's a tree up on the bank we can place a tree stand in for a pretty good view of the area facing the wooded area and road sign in front of us. Great spot for fox, roe deer, reindeer, moose and an occasional bear. I have not seen Lynx there.
Fox generally come from in front of me in the wooded area.
Moose typically come from behind me to the right but they also come down the bank to the left, they seem to spawn at the beginning of the game north west of tower 3 on the peak of the hill (somewhere in that area) and in the wooded area on the right side of the road if you're coming down from the Koppartorp lodge. I often get calls from Moose if I walk down that road slowly headed to the tree stand if I don't fast travel to the tent at the tree stand.
Reindeer and Roe deer come from the left most of the time, from the tower area that's to the left (north on the map) of there. Most of the time they come down the road from the north headed south both right on the road going north/south or in the wooded area coming from the north headed south.
I typically place a tent on the easement of the road that comes down from the lodge behind the tree stand.
We can just use Tower 3 but I haven't gotten as many fox from the tower as I have from a tree stand at the intersection. We can call the other animals that frequent the tower area to the stand.
Happy Hunting!

Thank you guys, I bought two tree stands and placed it on both of your locations, one at the intersection facing the signs and the northern one of Bonedigger. I will try them and tell you how it worked out.

Re: Tips for a Hemmeldal tree stand / tent location?
I hope you've had some luck on Hemmeldal, Jonas! I've been hunting on Hemmeldal the last few days in an attempt to figure out Lynx and found what seems to be a hotspot for all animals on the reserve except Ptarmigan. Try this location out and see how it goes.

I copy/pasted the coordinates on top of the lake. I have an e-caller for Lynx there, a decoy for Lynx and fox, and a tree stand in the tree that has a rock in front of it. I stood on the rock to place the tree stand. I've consistently gotten at least one Lynx (and spotted at least one other that spooked or didn't see one that came in after noticing one left tracks by the caller), several Fox, Reindeer, Brown Bear, and Roe Deer from that spot every single game I've played from that stand so far.
I've been using both the e-caller and the scent spray to attract Lynx.
I often hear Reindeer clanging their horns in battle southwest and they're at the stand in a few short minutes after calling.
Roe Deer and Fox have appeared there easily after hearing a call from them and calling them in.
Wood Grouse are everywhere, they're in the area too. I have yet to get one from that stand though. I haven't bothered calling them in.
Brown Bear roam through that area. I've tracked a few from other locations and ended up finding them to take a shot at them almost right under the tree stand. I've harvested several Bear that wondered close enough as I sat in the stand. I got out of the stand and snuck up to within bow range to get a few too.
Ptarmigan don't seem to be in that area often. They seem to be further west closer to and around the ! (Grimulfr's Sten).
I ran around the map using a German Pointer dog letting the dog find whatever it found from the 'find deer/felines' command the first time I went at it trying to find Lynx. After 3 sessions of finding Lynx tracks in the green circle I placed the tent, tree stand, and e-caller there in a 4th session and got my first ever Lynx there in the 5th session I started after placing the gear.
