At this stage I have only been playing again Call Of The Wild on ps4.

Even though it had been a few years since playing it has taken me a little while to get used COTW. One was to get my eye in to spot animals and the other the shear size of the maps. The amount of flora that is about is way different for me to the classic I remember.

I really miss the comps though. Need to get my old pc up and running again or purchase a new laptop to play classic.... which I’m really looking forward too.

I have yet to get a new pc so having been playing COTW. Slowly but steady I have been getting used to the game but still miss the classsic version and I am looking forward to getting back into it.

A few observations I have made about COTW that makes me want to return to classic.

The animals seem to ‘robotic’ for my liking. I think the need zones ruin them in a way.
1. They really seem to be determined to get to their need zones on time.
2. Animals seem hell bent to return to a need zone if they get spooked. Give them some time and they return even if fired upon!
3. They are like trains. Follow the same route from need zone to need zone.
4. Calls, lures don’t have an effect if animals are locked into a need zone.

Also Antlers seem to be very similar visually over different score ranges.

Anyway will do a few more hours playing Call of the Wild before I get back into classic.
Are their need zones in classic now? I hope it isn’t the same robotic feel.
