Hello from Oregon
Hello I'm toxicdog, 53, today is my one month anniversary and I am so happy to be here
We hunt as a family and last year we didn't pull any of our big game tags because we put in as a group so we sink or swim together! My oldest son made me get COTW around thanksgiving and we had a blast, got my oldest daughter to play and she likes it too. We all played the Cabela's games years ago so it was fun to eHunt again, I'm sorry but didn't know about THC. I'm getting older and pulling the bow (my Parker!) gets harder every year but does not mean I love it any less. Even with rifle tags I scout/hike less than I used to but this game allows me to experience hunting with an electronic avatar that never gets tired! Even got on the leaderboard with a nice blacktail
After playing COTW for about a month I became annoyed with it, began to lurk over here and in mid-January bought a 12 mo subscription already knowing what I was getting into both monetarily and the whole fuzzy future thing. I know there is a lot going on here that is discussed elsewhere and I hope everything works out.
I did this for one reason only: TheHunter Classic is far superior to COTW (and Cabelas) in terms of what real life hunters expect and it delivers. All that is missing are the smells!
Cheers,
toxic
