Just another hunter saying hi!
Hey folks! I'm Zach, and I live in the U.S. (midwest). I actually have about 100 hours already on the game, and I came from COTW after wanting more content and smoother gameplay. Although it's definitely a wallet-puncher, I can totally justify spending the extra money on Classic. It's still a beautiful game and offers a lot of endless fun and excitement. Although I don't hunt in real life, admittedly this game has got me thinking I should pick up the hobby. Some of my other hobbies include lacrosse, rock climbing, and backpacking/camping. I love pretty much anything outdoors. I play some other games, but mainly stick to first-person shooters like ArmA or Squad. I grew up on the old Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon tactical shooters from the 90s. I love nothing more in a game than taking my time, being strategic, and planning my next move smartly - so hunting definitely falls into that niche category of games I enjoy!
My favorite animals to hunt are red deer, elk, and fox. Recently I'm starting to spend more time with some of the goat/sheep species, and of course birds are always fun, too.
I'm also a moderator of theHunter subreddit. I'll be sure to stop in quite frequently and become a part of the community here!

Welcome to the forum Zach. I also remember playing Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six (original one) from the late 90s. It was an extremely fun game, and it was fun to plan the missions then in the event of failure, go back and review your strategy. They don't make 'em like they used to.
Anyway happy hunting

And you're definitely right, good shooters like that are hard to find now.

Hi and Wilkommen Zach, but you make me feel very old ..... my first games were Space Invaders and Dungeons and Dragons on the old Atari, the very first "consol" back in the early 80's.....
