Since firearms are currently the primary method of harvesting wild game throughout modern civilization, I thought it beneficial to start a topic where we as a community can share information we find interesting or deserves highlighting.
To start off:

The recent bankruptcy of "Big Green" (aka the Remington Arms Company).
I feel this news is important since tHC has based several in-game items on Remington's designs:
- .223 (Remington) ammo
- 7mm (Remington) Magnum ammo
- 7mm-08 (Remington) ammo
- .44 (Remington) Magnum ammo
- 12GA Pump Action Shotgun (Remington 870)
- 10mm Semi-Auto Handgun (Remington R1 "Longslide" 10mm Hunter)
- .45-70 GOV'T Lever Action Rifle (Originally by Marlin, but Remington acquired the Marlin brand later on)
Technically no, but original "Remington" firearms are going to be very valuable to collectors later down the line.
The company was auctioned off into 7 major sections:
- Vista Outdoor, Inc (Remington Ammunition)
- Roundhill Group, LLC (Non-Marlin business and inventory; i.e. Remington firearms)
- Sierra Bullets, L.L.C. (Barnes Ammunition
- Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (Marlin brand and intellectual properties)
- JJE Capital Holdings, LLC aka "Palmetto State Armory" (DPMS, H&R, Stormlake, AAC, and Parker brands)
- Franklin Armory Holdings, Inc. (Bushmaster brand)
- Sportsman’s Warehouse, Inc. (Tapco brand)
I thought Remington was one of those companies "too big to fail", but like Winchester before it, time, mismanagement, and people took its toll.
