Those Fly Amanitas shold quickly dried under sun if you are willing use them as "magic" mushroom. Somehow heat and UV light destroys some of nasty compounds in them. Or if they are dried and soaked with sugar water they make excellent fly trap. Jack

Haha! OK, take your word for it  ~ Here's what I know about shrooms- some you can eat, some can kill you- since I don't know the difference I get my from the produce department  Now many decades ago in another life, I know they came in baggies and we made sweet tea with them and contributed so some most amazing adventures I still remember with fondness  ~ Oh to be young and stupid with nothing to lose again.... the good old days!

Some brains you have Von! It is a brain mushroom !
The brain mushroom is that rare species with the distinction of being both edible and poisonous.

Looks like what we call beefsteak morels here. I've eaten them. Didn't taste very good. Later found out that your body has a certain amount of immunity to them so you can eat them for a while and not get sick. Then one day you just run out and get sick. Haven't reached that point yet.

Thats one of so called false morsels by my own mycological books mildly poisonous but can be eaten if boiled for about 5 minutes (discard water in which was boiled). Honestly I would leave that alone in the woods/fields. Jack

I never would've guessed that was a mushroom. Looks like someone lost a hemorrhoid.

Yeah i looked up that on Google:
"The Brain Mushroom (Gyromitra esculenta) ... Unlike true morels, this species of fungus, commonly called the brain mushroom, was found to be poisonous and should not be eaten. The Gyromitra esculenta is characterized by its ruddy red-brown cap that resembles the human brain"

I dont want to now how it taste, but if taste how its look, must be horrible.
