Another Busse I was lucky to snag, The Forsaken Steelheart Nano-Fusion - This is a Nuke/Custom Shop variant of a completely new design on a scaled down version of the most popular handle Busse makes called the Fusion and using his iconic blade on it's 26th anniversary called the Steelheart in the spirit of the Forsaken series with CBT (all the grooves to keep it simple) I was able to do some dealing with a cool forum member in order to acquire this limited edition model.
8.5" blade - blade thickness at the spine .210 with black canvas micarta.

Got a couple new additions - First, the Nuked- Nano-Fusion Badger Attack custom shop - or the NFBatac as it's known. Hand polished Infi with hand ground swedge and full flat grind~ nice little slicer
Image

And this one is a real stunner- This is a one-of-a-kind Custom Shop called the "Last Rites" ` It's a 9" Tanto with G-rexed handle from brown G10 and desert ironwood with copper filled SS handle pins. It's a real beauty and feels amazing with great ergos

All Whisky ;) ~ But that's a Scottish law~ everywhere outside of there add the "e" ~ I've been exploring just single malts with 1 exception. Last week I was heading to the liquor store and Jerry Busse, who makes all these amazing blades, calls me up and we talked for 30 minutes about Whisky while on my drive and what I was going to pick up that day - He said "If you see Pendleton it's amazing!" and so I did pick it up, it's a Canadian blend and my first whiskey NOT a Scotch since I got into this- Got to hand it to him, good call! It's very tasty, it's called "Pendleton Midnight" ~ very butterscotch immediately! Also picked up Glenmorangie Nectar D"OR at the same time~ I'm kind of enjoying the sherry cask lines the most. Actually over a dozen different Scotch in the fleet so far- :D

Here's that one with my Busse CS Flak Jack "Snowhole"

Image

But this is probably my favorite so far- with another Flack Jack- standard one :D

Urgent Fury and Hog Badger are lovely looking knives, definitely my favourites. The handle on the Hog Badger is amazing. Very unique.

Out of the whisky selection my favourite is Laphroaig. It's very peaty but a beautiful flavour. I once had a glass of 32 year old Laphraoig and it was one of the smoothest, most delicious single malts I've ever tried. You also need to try Bowmore Len. It's such a nice whisky. If you can get it, I highly recommend it. If you're feeling generous spring for a 25 year old and treat yourself.

That bottle of Pendleton Midnight, was that for washing out your dirty glasses, or cleaning the blades?

Edit: for the avoidance of doubt I meant spring for a 25 year old Bowmore. Not a 25 year old. You wouldn't know what to do with one of the latter, ya old fart.

Well here's my fav of the Islay smokey peats so far~ this is amazing stuff - One of my mentors has put me on the hunt for one of his favorite Bowmore's, the devils cask~ Won't find it on a shelf anywhere so one of those special orders. My next one though probably the Glenmorangie Signet.

Image

I've got one that's going to stay in the cabinet for a while over the Canadian one~ Ardbeg Corryvreckan - Here's how I describe it - Take a fresh piece of tanned leather *tanned in real old fashioned urine* place in between to asphalt shingles as a sandwich, then you need some dippin sauce of burnt hydraulic oil ~ and that's the CorryV to a "T" Or, you know how the power company will lay out new poles to bury for powerlines, they are bathed in creosote, just lick a real juicy spot on the pole~ ... can't believe they put that in a bottle.
