Re: Open Country Coming soon
Seems like a good looking action adventure. Added to the wish list. Will check the user ratings after release. Thanks for sharing!

I had a link in my news on my phone, I looked a bit and I also think it's a hopeful game

It's made by FUN Labs, they have long experience with hunting games, and behind many of the most successful Cabela's hunting games. I hope it won't be like Hunting Simulator 2 with its low quality animation and animal models.

With classic's 51% positive ratings how can you trust any ratingsHooCairs wrote:Will check the user ratings after release.
What weapon earns you the most from missions? How can I see at a glance all the missions I can currently do in a given reserve? Check out https://missionitemtool.herokuapp.com/

The 51% is still a legacy from the membership model and is detrimental to the game. The most recent rating is 73% which says much more about the actual game.Brutus969 wrote:With classic's 51% positive ratings how can you trust any ratingsHooCairs wrote:Will check the user ratings after release.

Yes, I confirm, the reviews have improved a lot since the change to true F2P, although there are still some negative reviews they come either from players eager to improve and who do not bother to take the time to learn the game, either from people against hunting (killing poor little beasts) and from others who do not understand that the game still needs a contribution in dollars to reduce bugs and improve the content.

It's adventure for outdoorsman where you can meet park ranger.
I don't think it will allow to shoot every animal :X
Game don't have any similar hunting games or visible tags (for me not visible).

Re: Open Country Coming soon
I'm not in love with the graphics in that particular clip. But if the gameplay is right I could still end up getting it.
It looks to me though like CotW is going to hold me for a while. Why exactly do people keep saying CotW is more arcade like? I may just suck at it, but it seems to require quite a lot of tracking..... If you happen onto a gigantic herd you might get the chance to pop off more than a few rounds, but that does not happen for me just constantly...
The thing that got me even looking at The Hunter was a video of a herd running along together. That is some pretty smooth graphics they got, and it got me to play Classic (mostly because it is free. It does not have the smooth herd graphics CotW has), which after a few weeks sold me on CotW, which I honestly did NOT intend to buy, but they discounted it pretty steeply and I had Christmas Steam credits. lol
Got to put them somewhere.....
