Will apple ear buds with mic work for no, or regular mic on laptop, or just buy gamer headset, how to connect

The apple ear buds should work fine for sound. There is no in game voice communications however. If you have seen videos or something in which there was voice communication, that would have been done using a separate application, such as Discord, Skype, or TeamSpeak. Assuming you can get one of these programs, from experience I would recommend picking up a cheap headset with a mic. It can be quite hard to hear others using a mic on earbuds. I ordered mine on Ebay for like $20 USD

Yes, you just need to make sure your program's audio settings are set to the devices you want to use for what.
I.E. earbud device > audio
laptop mic > microphone

Keep in mind though that a lot of built in mics do not have good clarity.
