Just got a new comp, Windows 10, and I am used to windows live mail.
I like the layout, something simple, but it is no longer supported.
Can anyone recommend a mail program that shows HTML as well as allows a secure POP3 ?
I've tried Mozilla Thunderbird, nice but no secure POP3
Also tried Sylpheed, secure POP3, but no HTML.
Thanks

Thunderbird does support "secure POP3", if by that you mean POP3 with SSL/TLS authentication over port 995.Trackfield wrote:I've tried Mozilla Thunderbird, nice but no secure POP3

Re: looking for email program, Windows 10
Can you or someone explain what you mean by "no longer supported"? I have Win 10 and use Windows Live Mail. I have no issues with it. Are you referring to there not being any further updates? If so, that's a good thing, as long as it works. I get pretty sick and tired of Windows Updates on Win 10 just showing up out of nowhere without notice. On Win 7, users could change settings to be notified when updates were available and could choose when to install them even after they were downloaded. It's pretty frustrating turning on your computer and then have to wait while MS invades your privacy for 20 minutes.Trackfield wrote:Just got a new comp, Windows 10, and I am used to windows live mail.

Re: looking for email program, Windows 10
I think I'll just stick with mailbird for now, seems ok and less clutter.
windows live mail from what I understand is no long available for download ( I looked for it, got one dl and it was in german)
and yeah you can keep using it, just no more updates
I loved win 7, but it was 32 bit, and after 8 years on the same computer, and most programs going 64 bit, it was time for a change.
Just don't like all the changes, but theHunter looks so different to me now, and my fps is great.
WTR would start to stutter when walking.
Now it is as smooth as um... ice
Thanks to all that responded.
