Nice rig Vlieger. What monitor(s) are you driving with your 1080 Ti? Hopefully something at least 1440p with G-Sync ;)

Thanks, I have 2 BENQ SW2700PT monitors because i am a photographer. These are no gaming monitors so i don't think g-sync is possible.
But they are 1440P :) And everything is running so great with the 1080TI ..Like it !!!

Well i played on my parents pc for a long time which had the following specs:
Cpu: i5 2320
Gpu: r9 270X
Ram: 8gb ram 1333Mhz
Case: A crappy standard one

After a few years (when i'm posting this it's like 2 months ago) i upgraded and bought a pc from my uncle so here is my new setup:
Cpu: i7 3770K watercooled
Gpu: HD7870 (don't really now which brand) custom cooler
Ram: 16GB of 1600Mhz
Case: Big tower with 2 front fans and one on the back. all 3 fans with green lights.
1920*1080 24 inch screen
A crappy keyboard which i will upgrade soon.
Mouse: Steelseries Rival 100.

I want to upgrade my HD7870 to a 1060 but that might be happening in like a few months (read a lot of months).

CPU: i7 5820k OC to 4.2 ghz
Mobo: Asus X99-A usb 3.1
Gpu(s): 2x Asus 1070 Strix rgbs
Ram: 8x4 gig kingston ddr4 2666's for 32gigs total
Cooling: custom loop i built out of a EKWB starter kit + a bunch of corsair SP120's, i love those plastic ring inserts on them, great stuff to spray paint to whatever color you want
Storage: a 256 gig 940 evo from samsung as my C drive
4x Western digital Red 3tbs in raid 0 for the rest of my games and stuff i dont mind loosing
Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB, blue switches, before that, i rocked a IBM model M

While I used to build my own PCs 20yrs ago I have neither the time nor inclination anymore. Instead I buy a purpose build gaming PC every 3 years. I had been buying Alienware PCs but once they sold out to Dell heard they werent what they used to be. Instead I decided to try Maingear & couldn't be happier with it! This PC is right at 3 years old so I am just starting to think about replacing it with another from Maingear.

Specs for my current "old" rig are.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z97N-WIFI - 4x Usb 3.0 2x Usb 2.0
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 4790K 4.4GHz Turbo 8MB L3 Cache HD 4600
Processor Cooling: [Closed Loop Liquid Cooling] Epic 240 Cooler from Epic 120
Memory: 32GB Corsair® Vengeance™ DDR3-1600
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB with G-Sync
Power Supply: 750W EVGA® SuperNOVA 80 Plus Gold Certified PSU
Operating System Drive: [SSD] 500GB Samsung® 850 EVO [520MB/s Sequential Reads]
Hard Drive Bay Two: [HDD] 2TB Seagate Desktop HDD 7200rpm 64MB Cache

My main use for PCs is flight sims so I need high frames & expect good looks consequently I need allot of horsepower. If anyone has some suggestions for my next PC I would love to hear them. I am very nearly ready to order a new one. My main sim DCS recently did a major upgrade & my frames took a hit.

The comp I have now was my first home build nearly 3 years ago, it was built for rFactor racing sim at the time, all my gaming had been on lappys till then,
and being a admin for the league and financier to the server at the time, I needed better than what i had been using.

It may not be a beast to many on here and a little outdated but it's my beast with what money
i had to play with at the time and compared to what i had been using.

Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming - 2x Usb 3.0 + 5x Usb 2.0 - 7.1ch
Processor: AMD FX 4300 Black Edition 3.8GHz 8MB Cache
Processor Cooling: Cooler Master V8
Memory: HyperX Fury DDR3 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1866MHz
Graphics Card: Asus Radeon R7 370 STRIX GDDR5 4gb
Power Supply: 550W EVGA 80 Plus Gold
Operating System: Windows 7 HP 64bit SP1
Hard Drive Bay One: [SSD] 250GB Kingston HyperX Savage
Hard Drive Bay Two: [HDD] 1TB Seagate
Hard Drive Bay Three: [HDD] 500GB WD Blue (taken out of last lappy)
Case: AeroCool StrikeX open case with CoolTouch-R fan control - 2x Usb 3.0 + 3x Usb 2.0
Ext hd's: Freecom 250GB/TARGA 300GB
With generic Blu Ray player and Samsung DVD burner

My next upgrade when i can will be either a second R7 370 and crossfire the two or go for something totally different in graphics
money depending and a higher watt PSU and a descent monitor and maybe add another 16GB ram.

you will be better off unless you can get one mega cheap just getting a newer nvidia or amd card if you must. v ram limit on the older cards in some modern games can really hamper performance. 2x 370 = same as about a nvidia 970 gtx but less v ram. or a amd 390.less v ram also.

your psu is a decent one and will run most modern cards single.anyway.
