Multiplayer games crashing to DirectX Diagnostic Tool...............

Post by Kinarr »

My Multiplayer gaming, as host or joining anothers, kept crashing to desktop and opening DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
I lowered all my settings.
I wrote to thehunter support.
I tried fullscreen or windowed.
I tried everything but my multiplayer gaming kept closing.
Finally I discovered the problem.
It was my dogs.
No Dog = No Problem

I sent an email to theHunter Support Team when the problem kept occurring.
They responded very quickly.
But I said I had found the problem, it was my dog, and cancelled my support ticket.
Support recognised that finding the problem, and fixing it are two different things.
So they sent me three follow-up emails asking for more details.
I was happy to answer all their questions, as the problem was affecting my friends now in the same way.
The problem has now been fixed. I host multies with my dog, and my friends bring their dogs.
The dogs play happily together for hours.
A huge thankyou to the quick response from theHunter Support Team.

What was the fix?.....There hasn't been a patch for 2-3 weeks so was the problem fixed on your end?
Personal Bests...

NO.
Problem still exists.
Apparently it is affecting everyone, not just me.
That makes it a game issue.
Definately limited to Retriever dogs tho.

The latest update made several changes to fix the Retriever dog crashing the game.
The very first duck retrieved by my dog in the very first multie-player hunt I hosted, resulted in the game crashing yet again.
Problem NOT solved, guys.
Back to the drawing board.

Had several directx crashes in MP the last few days, but as always straight to the diagnosis page which tells me no problems. Only happens in MP

NO Dog on the map as far as I know..... Peekaboo clothing full, the .405 and the new blazing orange bow, rusa caller, spray for Rusa & Sambar.......

System is

Asus Rog Strix B470-F mainboard
Ryzen 7 2700x OC from 3.7 to 4.1Ghz
32 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz Ram
BeQuiet 700W Gold Pure Power 11
Asus Rog Strix RTX2080 OC 8gb
Artic Freezer WC 2x120mm fans
2 x 500GB Samsung Evo 860 SSD
1TB Seagate HDD
My opinion may not be right, but it is the one I like most :D
