Just bought a dog, but I couldn't find an answer for this, especially I was wondering about the louder whistle to call the dog when is far away.

I don't think so. Maybe a couple of the extra skittish species but for the most part I would say no, dog commands do not spook animals. There's been plenty of times that I've been in close proximity to an animal, gave my dog the command to stay and haven't spooked the animal that was close by.

Thank you, I will be less careful about using them then :)

The whistle sound don't spook, but the action of the dog may spook, lets say you whistle to stay, no problem, but you whistle to call him to you when he is 30meters away and comes running, that may spook an animal, a trick for that last scenario is call him when you are in crouch position, so the dog will come slow and crouching to, but that depends on a skill called "follow stance" that imitate the owner walking stance.

As Von was saying, the commands themselves shouldn't spook an animal but the dogs actions may, especially a low level dog. I don't remember what my dog was like at that level. FYI while the dog is "Staying", it's practically invisible to the animals. The animals can be standing right on top of your dog and not get spooked while the stay command is issued.

A couple of tips for your new dog, assign a easy access key to the commands "stay" and "come here" i don't remember the name of the command to call the dog to you but both are the mos used commands, my setup is "C" key to stay and press middle button of mouse "the wheel" to call him, since its a new dog it will fail to understand the commands a lot and pressing 2 times a key is more easy and fast that open 2 times the interface, specially when you are surprised by an animal near and need crouch and stop the dog fast.

Also the commands Stay and Lay down are basically the same and don't spook animals, but the difference is that with lay down you can getaway like 10 meters and the dog will up and follow you, while with "stay" you can leave your dog until 75 meters away letting you go ahead and explore an area whiteout the dog running around.
