The dogs [why not for rabbits?]

So i was wondering why only birds can someone tell me please.I remember my grandfather telling me about he use his dog to collect his rabbit.I know many people who hunt rabbit and use dogs to collect.So why not rabbit if you could tell me why only birds will be collected.

Probably so they can add Rabbit dogs later, Like a beagle for rabbits.

Because they are game developers and not hunters and didn't think of it. As stated since it was brought up on the board, they will work on adding them after the release.

I think DHRifleman is correct. From what I've seen, it just plain didn't occur to them that anyone would want to do that. Now they're working on the idea, but they don't want to delay the release just to include rabbits. So we're initially getting birds only, but with the possibility of rabbit functionality being added later.

Now, that's not to say that they might not also release a specialist rabbit dog later. But I think the Lab makes sense as a broad-skill retriever breed and I do think their current intention is to add rabbit functionality to the Lab later on, from what I can tell. They may of course still decide to reserve the ability for a separate breed, but we'll see.
