I only hunt them with 2 friends. We try to get a highground and unload on him from the top Our first one took close to 35 .308 ammo.

When I took out all my 3 T-rexes I was up close and personal... I try to take them out with the bow (or any closeKache wrote:Making t-Rex require multiple hunters to kill would wreck the came for me. I only play solo and only hunt them with the bow. In early access there were blind spots and some other aspects that could be a bit cheaty, but now only the proper set up and approach will allow you to pull it off.
I do not use the running around or glitchy high hide, I hide, shoot, use the trees for cover, shoot etc. I may only take 1 rex in two sessions but it is legit not glitched or cheated.
No disrespect intended, but saying that killing a 6000 k Theropod with a pointy stick carries no bragging rights is your opinion. I think it is the other way around, blasting him with a large caliber firearm from 100m is easy and carries no bragging rights.
range weapons) but I usually never live to tell the tale lol. In other words killing a single T-rex is a big achievement
for me.

Re: How to kill a rex with a bow (vid)
For me, it's all about realism.
How would I go about getting rid of t-rexes and other carnivores so inhabiting Primal Eden becomes possible?
I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't go about hunting it down with a bow and arrows, since chances of killing it in real life like that would be slim at best.
I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't try to glitch it... cos that's impossible in real life.
It all comes down to immersion, which is greatly amplified by realism: pretend you're there and behave accordingly.
All my 63 rexes were taken down without them ever spotting where I was, without ever being in a situation where I could die.
Which is exactly what I would do in real life: Get up in a safe, high ground, wait for the right moment, snipe it's heart.
There are no second chances, you die, you're dead. Game over.

Re: How to kill a rex with a bow (vid)
As I said, No disrespect intended, and in only my opinion. I agree that if it were real life you would not find me hunting them with a bow. Then again in real life what are the chances of findina planet with t-rex on it (unless some reptilian alien species seeded them there?) For me it is about the challenge, face a rex with a bow, win and live to tell the tale. My only issue is the idea that I have no bragging rights for doing so...JeeF wrote:For me, it's all about realism.

Re: How to kill a rex with a bow (vid)
Of course you have some bragging rights. Killing a Rex in-game with nothing but the bow is an accomplishment in itself, because there are a lot of little things that can go wrong so quickly. All that gets taken away though if it's taken by glitching it out first. Hell, even a child could kill one with any weapon when it's stuck. Ultimately, it comes down to what is fun for you, and what makes it worth it. For some, it's using every single dirty trick in the book, for others such yourself and I, it's about immersion and the challenge. I enjoy hunting down T-Rex (though the trophy integrity crap is slowly killing that), and it's always great no matter how many times you see them go down.Kache wrote:As I said, No disrespect intended, and in only my opinion.
