Drowning from getting stuck in one of those deep holes of water that (bug) you can't get out of, really? There goes everything I have collected.

Allow players to repair a settlement and use it as a home base. Items and supplies used to repair the settlement could be found scattered around the island or scavenged from the other settlements. I think this would improve the exploration aspect, allow players to store the different equipment they find and add a bit more of a goal other than just surviving and hunting.
great idea

Fixing up settlements with resources from around the map is a great idea.

For the first 20 hours I was constantly going to use them on to find they are not there.

Same - I really miss the binoculars! Sometimes I just want to admire the dinosaurs...from far away.
I'm sure they'll be added eventually.
I haven't played much due to time, but what I have played, I enjoyed. So much promise. I am looking forward to the actual release.

Would be a great addition to the game if you had to find things so you could fix one of the building in a settlement as a resting and storage place for weapons and stuff
