Handguns | .45 Long Colt Revolver
.45 Long Colt Revolver
A powerful revolver in a classic or engraved style. This handgun is an ode to the handguns of old but with a punch that outmatches most. Be careful though: It kicks like a mule / stallion!
See it here in the store.
See the premium version (The Stallion) here.

Model looks nice, but animations are poor, don't like the fact that it can use a scope, sound has quite a bit of echo to it. Damage seems good at short range.
Rated poor, because of animations and mountable scope

Rated very poor.
As waiora said, model is nice, reloading animation is just bad.
Regarding power, it is most similar to .44 at very short ranges (i mean really short like 10-20m) but worse beyond that distance. (for the job it is intended to do)
In short, its not permitted for medium sized game (.44), and not powerful enough for the big one (.454) If you already own those two the Colt will probably be used just to harvest few HS points.
I`m just glad i didn`t have to buy it otherwise i would felt like i wasted money.
Hope it gets some attention and tweaking after the store release.

Well i believe you do, still doesn't change the fact they are wrong/or just childish. (Wild Wild West kinda)slackster wrote:I like the animations personally
Closing cylinder or `Bogarting` as done in-game is something that no real hunter would ever do, and is despised by any serious gun owner.
Unloading is especially superficial, no safety included, just a quick hand jolt and cylinder comes out, which is what i expect from an arcade FP shooter game.
I also thought the one we have in-game should be a six-shooter and that should be able to penetrate moose from 50m but that`s a whole different story and i could be wrong.

Came to verify my rating on this since its in store, funny how 16 people rate the item when only 10 in game actually own it prior to this post

The reloading is jerky and awkward, and seems a little too hasty.

Reloading animation is bad... the bullet penetration in short range is worst(for boars and hogs).
But the accuracy above 75m is great.
So, I vote for "Average".

Vote no... this kick mule is a bad descrition of Colt. Colt is better... put some more puch in the revolver... all the shots i made i have to walk 2 or 3 clicks to get the pig... the .44, 1 shot...dead.
