Re: Rifles | .22 "Plinkington" Semi-Automatic Rifle
I rated it excellent because its a solid model with good sounds & animations. I rarely use mine though feeling it is very meh. For rabbits I prefer the 17 because it drops them on the spot or the air rifle when the shots are closer.
If hanging back 80-100m & knocking off every rabbit you see appeals to you you cant go wrong with the 22. You will have to track more then a few of the hit ones though. If taking down a rabbit with one shot clear out to render distance appeals to you the 17 wins hands down IMO.

I use this way too little since I got the .17HMR. It is not as versatile as that but the semi automatic, magazine loading use is great for quick follow ups or to chase after birds. Noticeable bullet drop adds an extra long range challenge.

yet another gun making old posts irrelevant due to the increased noise and bullet drop.

Used again recently, simply to use up ammo and I would now have to change my once excellent review to average.

It's broken since around March. Everything needs two shots now.muldo wrote:Used again recently, simply to use up ammo and I would now have to change my once excellent review to average.

I had a turkey that needed three shots. I guess two shots is the average.

The small birds and geese usually one shot does take them, but turkey and rabbit quite often it'll take 2 shots. It doesn't matter where you aim on a rabbit, the first shot often registers as an ear shot.BigGameHunter_21 wrote: Pheasants don’t under 75m, shot a 28.4 today at 50 and it died

In my opinion .22 is much better. It's more silent and precise. I noticed the 0.17 scares varmints at 200m. I'd want my gms back.rhapsodaisical wrote:I use this way too little since I got the .17HMR.
