.22 "Plinkington" Semi-Automatic Rifle
This is the perfect rifle for small game hunting. It is fast and accurate enough to give even the quickest rabbits a run for their money.

Re: Rifles | .22 "Plinkington" Semi-Automatic Rifle
I find it interesting noone has reviewed this rifle.
I've been using it to pop geese out of the air @ up to 70 meters today, and I have to say, it's fast, accurate and easy to aim and shoot. The round itself seems every bit as impossibly fast ingame as it is in real life. I need no lead on a goose at range in order to hit. I've been using the 2-6x26 variable scope, and at the lowest magnification setting, I can pan around the skies fast enough to keep up with the flocks as they glide overhead.
Great little gun, love it as much as I do the 10/22 in my closet.

ok we could do with more ammo but I love it, rated excellent and with the 12x scope it is such fun hunting rabbits and turkeys.
Decent on airborne and stationary geese too

Love the sound and choice of scopes. Very fun small game gun and now that the spook radius has been sorted out (~75m) I feel its well balanced for the game. Rated excellent.

Now I'm happy with 50 rounds in a box! After many tweaks this .22 is the way it should be.

Re: Rifles | .22 "Plinkington" Semi-Automatic Rifle
I remember when .22 Air Rifle was introduced. Together with a scope it costed me almost 1000 em$, then I found out it was pure garbage.
Turns out, it's the Plinkington that offers everything I wanted from that caliber. In fact, it's better than I expected. Really quiet, works with most of the typical scopes, quick rate of fire, accurate, lots of ammo.
The stopping power is great. I've never had to fire a second bullet vs geese, pheasants, rabbits. Effective range is sick. At 150m it still works great and has only minimal bullet drop.
Quite honestly, it's so good that I even tried shooting roe deers with it. Managed to drop one with 5 hits. Doc went crazy after that.

Re: Rifles | .22 "Plinkington" Semi-Automatic Rifle
I had a red deer only run 200 metres after 7 hits. It´s a sadists wet dream poor poor animals talk about terror gun!
Only small miss is that the laser sight scope which isn´t really useful but maybe would be on this is not compatible for some reason? There is quite some bulletdrop at 150 and beyond but still it feels strange to be able to fire 20 shots whereas other animals don´t flinch. I will probably by this good fun. Hunting birds and rabbits I don´t plan on torturing the bigger stuff with it. So far I have not been able to get more then body shots from roe or red deer firing from 30 metres on sure heart shots.
