Re: Optics | 7x42mm Rangefinder Binoculars
The 7x would seem sufficient but I still use the black binoculars with the 8x all the time. I wish there was a premium version available with a 12x zoom and I would never use any other binos anymore.
Rated Good.

Only ones I ever use but the day they release a variable power rangefinding pair will be the last day I use these- that's why I give it a "Good" because I just described what "Excellent" would be.

Re: Optics | 7x42mm Rangefinder Binoculars
I prefer this 7x magnification over 8x which is too much in my opinion.
The rangefinder is really nice and the ability to set an exact dot on map is very useful.
Especially useful for hunting with bow, crossbow and airrifle as they have limited range and high bullet and arrow drop.
Only - is 0.25 units of extra weight compared to x8 binoculars.
