Some times like Hoocairs I carry the 8x bino, specially to spot but I ALWAYS carry the 7x, the rangefinder is the add for those special mission ranging 50-100mts so I mark a bush, rock with these and then just aim with weapon, for Bow and Xbow a MUST for your inventory.

Also I agree with Radamus, Hoocairs and Cogsy666 if devs launch a variable Zoom or 12x that wil be magnificent!!
But above 10x is better if they launch a SPOTTER WITH RANGE FINDER INCLUDED!! Variable Zoom 7-16x That will be Premium Tool I'll buy it instantly, to spot Does, birds, rabbits above 90mts even the 12x Scope is not very good.

Rated Over powered.
Imagine if we didn't have range finders at all in the game the range comps would be so much more challenging for people.
Would be a total fix for all the complaining the range comps get.
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

I just got these and found a new love for hunting ibex due to them.
When you hit an ibex from 200m and then go to try and find it, things can get easily confusing. The terrain as you approach looks nothing like it did from the far slope, but this helps clarify tremendously.
- Navigation is so much easier when you can look at a feature, target it, and then navigate to that exact point with your huntermate.
- The rangefinder makes it infinitely easier to determine if you are looking at an area that is clear of ibex, or just out of render distance.
- The 7x magnification is high enough to actually be able to see a good number of animals as well
This is my favorite new hunting tool

I just recently "after few years" switch to these bioculars simply because you can "save" up position on the huntermate/map. Very handy for multiplayer and such. The range feauture doesnt mean that much to me. Also 7x zoom is not a thrill.

Rated Good.

You still see the animals disappear so would it make a difference?

We have the 12X spotter scope but of course a binocular with various zoom would make spotting more convenient and saves weight and make you less locked to anschutz compatible rifles.
Since I got it I haven´t touched the original. Tried it again now but since I generally carry scopes with more magnification then 8x I find little use of the stock binocular. I think maybe it would be better to upgrade the stock to 6-8-10 and 12X then the range finder version to make it a bit more of a decision which to take. Still the ability to mark spots you shoot animals at is invaluable to avoid running around circling trying to find the blood tracks or where the animal was. I would still go with the range finder version 9x out of 10.

To the range comps for under a given distance it should.

Exactly, a quick example I can give are range comps like the 75 Slug Championship that happens once a week it requires: "Harvest any Blacktail Deer with Slug ammo and a shot under 75 meters (approx. 246 feet). Longest shot wins."
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

Must have! Renders the separate bino - range finder combo obsolete. Therefor savign space in quickslots and inventory.
