Trapper Outfit
This classic hunting outfit is imbued with the same properties that made hunters back in the 19th century able to get close enough to take down any deer with primitive weapons like muzzleloaders and long bows. This item is particularly useful for hunters who are concerned about scent and for history buffs that want to live the legend.
Characteristics:
* Visual Reduction: Above Moderate vs. species of the deer family
* Scent Reduction: Fairly Good vs. species of the deer family
* Sound Reduction: Some vs. species of the deer family
See it here in the store.

Re: Clothing | Trapper
A good alternative for when you get tired of the B&C clothing. They both serve the same purpose, and both do it very well.
Effective for all deer species.

Pretty awesome for muzzleloader hunts, and seems to work very well against deer species.

I do not understand how the scent reduction can only affect deer.

The look is good but that's about it.
The stats are quiet bad.
You don't need as much scent reduction as you might think with Deer in this game. Only time the Trapper set shines is when it's really windy.
Better off buying Doc or B&C set for Deer.

I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

Re: Clothing | Trapper
Rated: Good
Pros
I think I found my "western expansionist" look.
I wasn't a fan of the Trapper Pants or the Trapper hat so I subbed them out for the Cowboy Hat and Outback Pants.
Pair the outfit with a vintage-looking weapon and the trophy shots will look amazing.
Compared to clothing without visual/scent/sound reduction, deer will get into earshot (<30m) more consistently.
This is definitely a HAM (Handgun/Archery/Muzzleloader) hunting outfit.
Pros
- Provides significant scent reduction to deer species
- Neutral colors compliment other articles of clothing
- Gives the naturalist/survivalist/frontiersman look
- Lacks extreme weather (Hot/Cold) protection
- Lacking in visual and sound reduction compared to alternatives

I'm playing this game right now, and I think it's going to help me become a better player than other people. I want to play it again tomorrow, and I want to make a player's crooked tattoo from the game on my hand.
