Muzzleloaders | .50 Cap Lock Muzzleloader

.50 Cap Lock Muzzleloader
Faithful reincarnation of a Civil War era Cap Lock Muzzleloader. Experience how it was done back in the days when all you had was one shot, a bang and a wall of smoke. Comes with a quick loading kit and attached ramrod for fast field reloads.

The awesome thing about this gun is the excellent reloading animation (that unfortunately tends to suffer from some graphic glitches).

The need to make the one shot count is also a nice incentive, but overall I personally grew tired of it too fast. Especially as in my hunting style I generally try to make the first shot count.

I do like this gun quite a bit, but I feel the same as Knut.

very realistic great animations very slow to reload though.

more for people who want a natural different style of playing theHunter. wait for that smoke :D

also you can get a scope which is very good for it.

Good- again more heart than head, like the addition of the scope but not the most practical weapon to use.

Rated average!

Lost quite some oomph after the ballistic updates so be prepared for some frustration with bigger game like brown bear. As it can´t penetrate bone anymore the old cliche correct shot placement has never rung more true.Though going out in the trapper outfit with the old muzzle loader hunting brown bear and reindeer does feel right ;).

It has been replaced by a more powerful and more practical inline muzzle loader so it´s not unique any longer but for deer hunting or smaller game it´s perfectly suitable still though inferior to the inline by quite some degree.

Brown bears are dead meat when hit with this gun even over long distances.
The addition of the scope only added to its value.

Just bought the gun for the "Nordic Fatherday - event missions".
And what a thrill this gun gives when fire at a bear!

Might be pure luck that my first kill with this gun was a white brownbear :)

Going to use this gun and the trapper outfit more often when not doing any particular mission or competitions.
Trophy shot

But I would not recommend it for a all use rifle. This rifle is when you want to hang back and just walking around and have fun.
Not for a serious hunt I would say.
