Re: Bows & Crossbows | Tenpoint Carbon Fusion Crossbow
noise and slow reload put this lower down on the bow list of what to own.
i prefer it without the scope myself.

Excellent- reload is the only major minus but a realistic one.

Rated as Excellent.
There are some cons: reload time, reload position, weight and loudness (compared to bows) but those are being surpassed by pros. Knock power is very good, penetration too. Scope combined with stability that comes from mechanical bowstring tension and possible recumbency makes this x-bow best all-around weapon. It's precise, powerful and quiet.
My personal favourite weapon, 250 harvests came in no time so I had to switch it with other bow-type weapon for a while.

I like it. It was my favorite weapon until they fixed the Python and made it the irresistible beast it is today.
I do think the 10 Point Crossbow would be even better if;
1) A range finder was added to the scope. No glow pins needed, just a range finder. Then it's still up to the user to choose the right pin.
2) Re draw of string was possible in prone position. It's a hand crank geared for ease of use, can be done in any position and should be. Popping up like a pop tart out of a beefed up toaster after every shot is only funny the first couple of times then gets old real quick.
3) String silencers were an option ( actually for all bows ) Even hand made hunting bows use them, they're made out of everything from beaver fur to modern materials, and they work.

I've been using my 10 point again over the past couple of days for the Moose competition and it didn't take long to remember why I liked it so much, after I tried to hold the trigger the first shot, almost cost me a bear.
If fires like a rifle, hits like a rifle, and does it all with the quiet of an out of shape ninja.( A little louder than an in shape ninja, get it?)

Combines some of the best properties of rifles and bows. The tiny spooking radius makes it feel like almost a cheat sometimes.

Rated Good
Only reason why I am not rating this as excellent is due to slow reload times which is realistic for the x-bow but still a bit annoying. This is a one of the easiest weapons to use and it pretty much guarantees no tracking on anything under 30m. It is relatively quiet so you can drop multiple animals if you are careful not to be seen while reloading.

it needs to be quieter... it is in no way "whisper" quiet... it spooks animals up to 50 meters
