Re: Shotguns | 12 GA Blaser F3 Game O/U Shotgun
Voted: Very poor, I do not like how it only has 2 shots before i need to reload, by the time I am ready to shoot again the ducks will be over 30 meters. 12 ga pump action and 10 ga lever action both have 6 shots before you need to reload, I only see this weapons use in hunterscore improvement, and possibly good for killing deer at longer range. It is also kind of hard to see the ducks coming from bellow the gun because of that hand taking up a lot of space, it might be just an issue with small monitors.
Edit: Also useful in a lot of missions that require it.

Rated: Excellent
= = =
Pros:
*Quick Second Shot
*Great Sight Picture
*Decent Range
*Relatively Steady Aim
Cons:
*Only Two Shots
*Action Lock should be set to one side; completely cosmetic con
*No optics; opportunity exists to introduce Aimpoint S-1 for shotguns with vent ribs?

The one feature I like the most about this shotgun is the bead and sight picture (after the update).
In my experience, the bead has a great contrast against most backgrounds and is comparably smaller than the 12GA pump and SxS.
I feel as if I have a better probability of hitting with this shotgun past 35m (38yd) compared to the other 12 gauges.
In regards to waterfowling I like to refer to the old hunter adage "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."
I find that the reload is quick enough to allow me to take on average 3, even 4, birds every break.
Compared to when I have the pump-action, I usually get "duck fever" and start blasting away.
6 shells later, I only have 3 birds anyway, so I figured at least with the Blaser O/U I can focus on getting the birds efficiently.
Lastly, this is just a beautiful looking shotgun model.
A decent O/U shotgun is easily 2-3x the price of a decent pump-action so it is too luxurious of an investment for me IRL.
At least I can run around with a premium piece of hardware here in the EHR

I just love it.
I know the pump-action is better in most situations (especially the Primal with the slimer front sight blade), but i just love O/U shotguns.
Also, the quick follow-up shot allows much faster reaction time than pump where two shells are enough.
