It's alright. But I feel it's too powerful so I try not to use it much because you can hit anywhere on most animals it it be a lethal kill. Too easy. :|
Hunting should be skillful with shot placement.
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

I have original .300. This version is really only matter of estethics.

For me .300 is best weapon in the whole game. Cheap, nice looking, efficient and allows all the big game.

One thing that is a thousand times better on the carbon and it's not estethics related is the ironsights.

Like the other .300, it's quite nice. Shame the two rifles don't share a weapon skill.

Love both my versions. My favorite all-around heavy game gun in this game. Range, and punch, great combination.

Might use for a comp or for fun; I like those!
But I'm not trying to sell the rifle; I wouldn't have it if it wasn't a prize.

It's just another single shot .300 that you cannot put a great scope on. :-( It's good, but the original is excelent.
Thanks, ~Jeff

Lot of people like to hunt with iron sights from time to time, for some added challenge.

And the sight in the .300 Carbon is awesome.

Great point that I had not considered.
