Meh. Before .45-70 was introduced, it used to be the gun to pick, if you wanted most stopping power.
Now it's kinda pointless, outperformed by either .45-70, .300 or 7mm.

Ok rifle, if you shoot under 150 meters. With new ERR, useless beyond 250 meters or so. Huge bullet drop, less power than .243 over those distances. This rifle needs to be updated on to more realistic specs.

The look of the Premium is one of the best! The sound is great and the Anschutz cartridge is different from the regular bolt action rifles in this class. The Iron sight is really narrow and love this!
Yes its a bit overshadowed by other, more recent, models but still has a great charm and place in the game!

Re: Rifles | 9.3x62 Anschütz 1780 D FL Bolt Action Rifle
I personally love this gun. I've only used it a few times because I bought it today, but it drops almost anything that's smaller than a brown bear (and usually drops a brown bear in one shot!). I love the design because the other camo rifle (not the blaze orange camo) because of the silver barrel. Hahaha I know I shouldn't be picky but eh what can ya' do. I love this weapon and the bullet caliber period. I heard it's "useless beyond 250 meters", I shall test that out on Whiterime Ridge and report back here with an edit. :3
Edit: Okay so yes it has bullet drop but so does the .300, I put a target out at 311-312 meters and I even recorded a video and will put it on my channel. It's a good gun for long range too. Recommended! :3

Re: Rifles | 9.3x62 Anschütz 1780 D FL Bolt Action Rifle
Rated: Good
Pros
*Great kinetic energy
*5-round magazine
*Wide variety of optics
Cons
*"Wandering" sights
*Heavy rifle and ammunition
*Bullet trajectory drops quickly (130m+)
*More expensive than the 9.3x74mmR
*NOT PERMITTED FOR WATER BUFFALO

Comments
This is a good "all around" platform that can take big game across the "American" and "European" reserves.
Although aiming is difficult and the trajectory is not as flat as other platforms, the 9.3x62mm will put down what it hits, even with less than ideal shot placement.
Just keep in mind that this platform is NOT permitted for Water Buffalo if you plan an expedition to Piccabeen Bay.
Regarding trajectory, it is similar to the 30-30WIN (IRL speeds and trajectories are similar).
A good rule of thumb I use is to aim "two-thirds up" a target.
You'll smash through the shoulder blade at close range or double lung at longer ranges.
Fortunately, this platform can use rifle scopes that have graduated reticles to assist in long-range shots, if so desired.
Overall, the 9.3x62mm platform is a good "one-rifle hunt" candidate that will drop whatever it hits but needs time to handle its sights and weight.
