I rated the gun as good...
an accurate shooter for the smaller game it's meant for.

I really like this weapon. It´s precise, good for small game. And it´s fun to shoot at mule, blacktail and whitetail because they don´t drop on the spot wherever you hit them. Great weapon to practice your aim for vital body parts.

Good rifle for yotes, fox, and roe. Will take it over the .223 any time. I usually take something else for deer though. I do, however, like poaching moose with this rifle as a bit of a challenge.

Re: Rifles | .243 Bolt Action Rifle
.243 Winchester Bolt Action Rifle: First of all, this rifle is very unsuitable as begginer rifle for anything bigger than Roe deer. If hunting Deer (Mule, Whitetail or Blacktail) it is nececary to get close as possible, let say about 50 yards range (maximum). Any begginer will be hugely disappointed by lack of killing power in case poorly placed shot or if only single lung was hit. This rifle is very good for hunting vermin like fox and coyote at almost any range within render distance. It performs good while hunting other medium sized thin skinned game such as Alpine Ibex and last addition Red Roo up to 100 yards. Overall raing 3.5/5. Jack

I don't really like this gun. Maybe it's great against small game. I use it at my favourite reserve RFF and try to get it's achievement maxxed out. Maybe it's a fault of fact I had 9.3x62 and .300 from the very beginning? It has no knock power against white- or blacktail. Except heart/brain shots it never dropped any of these at the spot. I actually need 60 more harvests and can't wait the moment I just throw it to my depot.
