Ok, this is aggravating! TWICE now I've watched as a Canada Goose flew away with a visible longbow arrow sticking out of it!
(yes, it's for that final mission)
Knowing that Doc will be yelling at me when I can't find it later... how do you track down a goose that flies away out of sight?
And.. how the heck can a goose shot with an arrow fly away anyways?

You just have to aim for the heart/lungs
What weapon earns you the most from missions? How can I see at a glance all the missions I can currently do in a given reserve? Check out https://missionitemtool.herokuapp.com/

try having 10 of them flying around with arrows before you get the one that is lucky enough to kill it.

Re: Canada Geese flying away with arrows
Geese, among other waterfowl, dont have a bleeding mechanic. If you hit them with arrow, it has to be good hit to kill them then and there or they will just fly off with the arrow and wont die ( no bleeding). Wing and tail hits dont usually kill them. <-- These are just my observation and conclusions, not a stated fact
Instead of a geese flying away, why not shoo them when they fly into you? Its much easier
On your setup, observe where geese land when you DONT use short range caller. Once you figure out the spot, move your blind there and wait for a break. Now with bow on hand, some of them should glide down right into your arms if you placed the blind in correct spot, it's nearly impossible to miss when you have screen full of geese
