4. Harvest a Whitetail Deer buck with at least 8 typical points.

I'm unsure why this mission did not get completed.
(It was allready actived before starting the hunt)

At the map Settler Creeks I did shot a Whitetail with 16x16 antlers.

It seems to be logged in my statistics under;
"profile > statistics > last hunt > Confirmed kills"

After the kill I took a trophy shot and then pressed "Sell", not "Taxidermize".
Was this wrong?
I still can Taxidermize this animal on the Confirmed kills menu. (22h left)

From my understanding, Harvest and Taxidermize are both different things?
Anyone know what I did wrong?

Mission won't count your NT buck as an 8 point one so mission won't complete. Harvest is when you collect the animal, taxidermize is getting the animal mounted for display in your Hunting Lodge. If you want to display the animal you can select taxidermize for up to 24hours afterwards. You did nothing wrong.

There's two types of Whitetail in the game, Whitetail (Typical) & Whitetail (Non-typical) most shorthand this to NT. The NT is rare so grtz on that, downside of them is they don't count for many missions or competitions.
Mule deer and Blacktail deer also have these NT variants.

That's a Non-Typical antlered Buck. That's what the "NT" acronym people are using but not explaining means.
And that's why that deer didn't complete the mission. The mission requires 8 typical points.

Non-Typicals are rare, that's a successful hunt most of us don't get often. I've been playing over 11 years and I haven't even seen a non-typical yet in any of my hunts.
Do taxidermize that one to display in a lodge (when you get a lodge).

Ok, altough I don't have a lodge yet, I just did taxidermize it.
I did read it will be preserved untill you get a lodge, now saving for one.

I don't play constantly. I binge play for a few months, then I'll stop playing for several months or more til I play again.
I have some long term goals now though so I think I'll be playing for a while this time. It takes years to complete everything there is to complete.
