Yeah the .454 is not particularly good against the WB, it took me like 2 shots at least to bring down a WB with that gun, and aiming at the head like with Bison doesn't work either, i always got skull, aka body shot... that mission gonna be hard, and if someone know a good way to place a shoot at vitals in a charging WB with that revolver please share it.

It can be done. They nerfed the .454 when Piccabeen came out. At the beginning a brain shot was dead. Now, not so much.

2 meters, that is a risky shot, it was up front? you aimed straight trough his head or an open spot behind like the neck or heart? i haven't been able to make a good shot at one charging WB, with bison i try shoot behind the head when they are lightly angled and i can see the neck and lungs area up front, but in Picca i just use the .340 because i just use the .454 to save my life if a WB surprise me, then i seal the deal at distance with a rifle.

For mission #10, you can only use the .454, otherwise I used the .340 without a scope on all the other close/charging shots required in previous missions.

Let them charge you and run to the side, then hit them in the middle of their broadside from very close.

Re: Water Buffalo Mission
I have around 200 kills with this pistol and I've also noticed a decreasing performance over the time, this pistol is a freaking cannon at close range and when you have problems to drop an animal under 10-20 m something is wrong, I remember speaking with some friends after the release of the muzz pistol and it seems that .454 became weaker, maybe was a market strategy to sell more muzz pistols?by stancomputerhunter

Yes, but you can't use it on mission #10. You MUST use the .454.Schlachtwolf wrote:I don't carry a pistol for WB, the . 405 draws as quick as the .454 and at close range the Buff is goin down !!!
