Is there even any way to do these without the Wolf Caller? Seems it is impossible for a regular player. I've tried, but I just cant. Even with scent eliminator everything sees me miles away. Crawling after wolf tracks forever, then suddenly have fleeing tracks. When I cant even see far enough to shoot them, what is a regular player to do? I cant even see them. just vague outlines of them trotting into the darkness (so much for carcasses acting as attractants.

all my wolf hunting mainly happens next to carcasses. i position my tripod 25m away from carcass, which can be found in areas with decent light (-5287, 1524 for example).
i was sitting upwind, dressed like clown and bagged 5 or 6 wolfs and 1 bypassing werewolf while cooking myself dinner during current hunt..

wolfs are more hidden by grass, but i had no trouble to shoot them.. they are attracted by carcasses, just chill, be patient.
as for wolf caller. i find it even less reliable, i dunno, seems broken to me or i just dont know how to use it..

Hey hunter! I say we resort to the old methods and try exorcism. That should push these beasts out of these woods right? I'm not sure where all these glowing skulls came from but maybe you could fetch a few and I can look through my library for that "Werewolves for Dummies" book that Van lent me some time ago. I guess I might as well find that cough medicine as well since my throat is killing me. I'll be waiting at Everfall Lodge once you've found a few skulls.

Thy Wolfsbane Cometh

Description
Nice to meet you hunter, the name is Van. I'm Doc's friend. I've been trying to contact him but he hasn't been answering his HunterMate so I fear the worst. I've got your gun ready but we are going to need a chipped wolf skull and to charge it with the calls of the wolves themselves. Special materials were used here, you see. Now let's show those beasts who's hunting whom.
Objectives

Identify a call from a Grey Wolf.
Identify a call from a Werewolf.
Harvest a Grey Wolf with a shot to the brain or skull.

Werewolf Slayer

Description
Let's bring a swift end to these werewolves and show them the brighter side of death. One thing I've learned from werewolf hunting is that you should aim for the heart or head if you want a clean efficient kill. Otherwise you can try and wear it down by aiming at other vital organs but it might take several shots; the beasts are tough after all. I'm going to search for Doc so don't get yourself killed while I'm gone.
Objectives

Slay a Werewolf using the mythical Silver .308 Bullets.
Slay another Werewolf using the mythical Silver .308 Bullets.

Description
I found Doc, clothes torn to shreds and covered in what looked like white fur for some reason but I've escorted him back to the lodge for now. While I was out there I ran into one who I presume is the pack leader, Gilles Garnier. It seems that he has returned and he's out for revenge for that scar you left on him, hunter. It's time we did a final push. Show them that we are a force to be reckoned with!
Objectives

Slay a Werewolf with a score of 320 or higher with one shot.

Since this event started I have put 50 plus hours into hunting/running around TgT...

I love this game. I do my damnedest NOT to complain.

I see alot of people complaining about alot of different stuff.
Some makes sense. Some is just plain ludicrous!

I try NOT to react to complainers...

BUT - when a happy post of mine is quoted - only to feed another complaining rant...

I get miffed.

Do those of us that LOVE this game a favor...
IF you hate this game so much - please... rage quit. Delete it from your hard drive.

Well not my fault,I work every thay more than 9 hours a day, some times 11 and play to have fun and try to relax, but this kind of event not much fun or like Pittie wrote before your post, you hunt 18 hours!! damn that's a lot of time, retired (good for you),

limited income (broke), and constantly fighting depression.

NOT anyones fault, that's why i work hard to not end BROKEN when retired. you don't complain that's a fair if YOU DON'T BUY MUCH or invest much on the game, but for me who like some others support the game buying several memberships (my expires on Dec/2021 and will extend 1 more year to gain towers) and all ready pay for: 52 pods, 59 ts, 13 double ts, 20- Gblinds, 4 heated tents, 83 tents, 95% of the weapons, membership since 2012, and other items I pay for; you now know I have all the right to complain since I don't spend a merely US$150 on this game.

Now you may go now, and sorry for try to help you on how to done a mission with a tent and caller I DON'T know you don't own.

Finally completed the Halloween Missions
It took me 16 silver bullets to get the three werewolves...
I am probably done for this year as I have already reached Level 1.

What the heck is the point of such an annoying and difficult mission so early on? How are regular players supposed to cope against the white whales in this? The other one, really. Just shoot a bear, shoot an elk. But this one? Find and shoot TWO elusive wolves. THen harvest them within 5 minutes of each other. No reason for that, other than an artificial barrier to sell more callers (real money required, even after a subscription. Have they even updated the membership items in YEARS? How many dang duplicates do I hate?), and to try to sell the expensive one in the store.

I felt the same way at first- but all you have to do is shoot a wolf mark the spot- leave it and don't harvest it yet- hopefully you're in a spot where you can fast travel. Find another wolf somewhere- shoot it, harvest it and then run back to where the first wolf lies. If you make the distance in five minutes you're laughin'. Good luck. Peace.

I just ran the roads and trails... when you hear that big growl - stop - draw pistol - aim pistol - backtrack and turn right left until you hear the running - BOOM (or die)
